Was watching his infamous 1 hour interview with Ahmad Rashad from 2 years ago, he said it haunts him that he stopped at 6. He said he wanted to go on until someone beat them and they had atleast another 1 or 2 in them. Instead, the owner messed up the team and he didnt want to come back. Recall, the Spurs were the champs the following year when he left

That mother er is the GOAT. He didnt just win 6 and fizz out, he was still in his prime

Though those 2 in D.C.. aren't a mirage. They count, just like the 2 when he was barnstorming America.

Precisely, like Duncan's inability to scale a Battier.

He scaled him just fine, it just took longer than expected.

The delay was catastrophic, D. It's why The Bag hasn't seen California yet.

The bulls were gassed after 98.

Also, their strength was perimeter D but the spurs were heavy on interior offense. The twin towers will also cause all kinds of problems for Jordan and pippen.

If the bulls would struggle with rik smits and Ewing, they would have more problems with Duncan and Robinson.

    Spurs in 6.

Bulls barely got it done in 98. It would have been a monumental struggle to win in 99 without big changes to the roster.

He could've won 8 straight from 91-98, tbh.

Nah Rockets vs. Bulls with Jordan would've been a good series and the Rockets could've won

The Rockets were 5-1 against the Bulls in their matchups during Chicago's 3-peat run, and 4 of those 5 wins were by double-digits..they owned the Bulls during Hakeem's prime in the 90s, there's no reason to believe Houston wouldn't have still won both les(especially considering the Bulls' fatigue from a potential 4th straight Finals run), even if Jordan hadn't been forced to take time off due to playing a part in the homicide of his own father..

Wish Jordan would just disappear. He's been gone for 16 years now and living in the past. Bulls never met a great big man in the finals. 93 they met chubby undersized PF Barkley, 96 Shawn Kemp, 97 and 98 choker Malone. They would have had so much trouble guarding and scoring against prime 7 footers Duncan and Robinson and Hakeem. Not to mention Jordan did come back in 95 and got smacked by Shaq Daddy's Magic who then got smacked by Hakeem's Rockets. Who's to say if Jordan didn't retire to join forces with Bugs Bunny and co. that the Bulls woulda made the finals and then beat Hakeems Rockets. Had they gone on to beat the Rockets in 94 and 95, would they have had any gas in the tank to go the extra distance and win 96, 97, 98, let alone 99 against Duncan and Robinson or 00 against beastly shaq. I know this was from a few years back but please move on MJ. You retired prematurely 2 times so we'll never know these answers. Sail off into the sunset, concentrate on being an owner and not make mistakes like selecting Kwame Brown with the number 1 pick and the likes of Adam Morrison etc. etc.

They've stopped at six. The 00s were a completely different type of basketball, and the Spurs and Lakers were beasts the Bulls never had to face. The real question is that had Jordan stay on and the Bulls lost in the Finals to both the Spurs and the Lakers, would Duncan, Kobe or Shaq have a legit GOAT case?

He made the right move retiring at 6, because there's a good chance he might have gone 6-2 in the Finals, or 7-1, which seems worse than being 6-0 in terms of his legacy. The NBA was indeed changing by the time Jordan was retiring, so he made the right move to become the demigod of basketball by retiring at that point in time.

Horace Grant sucked off MJ in an interview with Bill simmons for 40 mins but admitted he cant see Bulls beating the 01 Lakers. I can see these years Spurs beating them too. MJ never faced an epic team in his career

Bulls would've 4 peat, not sure if they can win more than that. Come on, an 8th Seed Knicks made the Finals that year.
