After watching a few more clips of this guy, it's going to be interesting to see if he can keep up with NBA players. In addition to being slow, he seems like he can't jump very high either.

    Still don't.

Did you say or do anything of note besides asking people if they remember you?
In a way, you and Seinfeld have a lot in common. He had a show about nothing. You have over 84,000 posts about nothing. Let me ask you this... Do you remember when your last basketball take was?

    Sure. A few minutes ago.

Sorry I don't remember you, but damn -- I am certainly on your mind.

Seems like RC was not expecting Anderson to fall at 30.

Not a basketball take and that was 21 minutes ago. A few is 3.

There are others, but thanks for slavishly checking. I might remember you as the guy who wanted me to remember him.

Liked his passing, and looks like he's got the euro-step down pretty well. Is he a smart guy?

Who knows how his athleticism translates.

Your whimsical retorts had more bite back in 2011. I'll have to take your word for your basketball takes (or I won't). The search function only goes back 12 pages.

I thought I'd heard he was coming. Jean-Charles isn't surprising, but Bertans definitely is.
They are both coming off of season-ending blown ACLs. Having missed a lot of development and not having played much in the last year, extremely little since returning from surgery. I guess they could get bought out, but not surprising if they don't come given the injury history.

He may not pan out but he is unique and his ceiling is really high for a #30 pick.
ing people acting like we blew a lottery pick. It's the 30th ing pick. Chill.
People complaining... get over it. He was the 30th overall pick. it was either this or a Euro-stash that you wouldn't see for at least a couple years, if at all.
Except you passed on the most athletic wing in the draft.
Alfre Hughes was considered extremely athletic.
I like the kid, but lets not pretend like we have any idea how he's going to workout for the Spurs. He's #30. I'll say this though, picking Anderson beats the out of another draft n' stash.
Ok. here's the thing: I like Anderson. He's a very smooth offensive player and very comfortable with the ball in his hands.
However... there is not a more inferior athlete in this draft. There's a point where basketball IQ isn't enough. I think the Spurs reached a little bit with this one. He may play back-up SF...but he's a completely different player than Kawhi. We'll see.
It's the 30th pick. There is no such thing as reaching at #30. We aren't looking for an all star or starter, just possibly a solid bench player.
30th pick. Figure it out knuckleheads.
Seems like RC was not expecting Anderson to fall at 30.

Man this guy plays terrible defense to me this is a clone of Austin/Deshaun Thomas.
If Deshaun Thomas were 6'9" with a 7'3" wingspan, he'd be in the NBA already. If AUsint were more than 200 lbs, he could stay in the NBA. I'm thinking that ultimately, he'll defend 4s. They'll have to build him up a bit first, though. If they can get him up to a cut 240-245, instead of a doughy 230, he'll be alright.

The Spurs would not have spent a first round pick on a player they didn't think could defend a position in the NBA.

Ok. here's the thing: I like Anderson. He's a very smooth offensive player and very comfortable with the ball in his hands. He's a very good 3 point shooter (48%) and he won't panic and he'll make good decisions. He's a very savvy player and a good passer. He is without a doubt a "Spurs guy."

However...other than Sim Bhullar, there is not a more inferior athlete in this draft. Anderson can't jump, can't stay with anyone on D, and does everything slow--hence the nickname 'Slomo'. Even his release on his shot is super slow.

There's a point where basketball IQ isn't enough. I think the Spurs reached a little bit with this one. He may play back-up SF...but he's a completely different player than Kawhi. We'll see.
