You tied. Choked in the penalties. Look how Chile also choked against Brazil yesterday. In the penalties, Brazil has all the pressure, the underdogs have none. That's choking to me.

in football there are too many good/great players on the pitch at once and there is only oneball. Team ability usually wins over individual ability at this level. That's why penaldo is home right now, spain didn't do , england is like clockwork at home (costa rica had better players????), etc. That's why mexico hat almost no trouble with the netherlands when they played their game (except for that robben run which came after a guy tripping)

From a scoring standpoint it was the worst choke.
From an overall standpoint (team, form, whole tournament, etc) brazil 1950 is by far the worst choke.

Kuyt was so underrated today. He really did all the things necessary to help NED stay in the game. Very, very good game from him.

I disagree, he was very sloppy with the ball, lots of poor passes, moving him out of the midfield really helped the dutch.
