"Retire Manu's Argentina jersey to honor all the offseasons he's sacrificed for his country."
- ElNono
Is Willie Anderson's jersey retired because if not he contributed for a lot of years to our franchise?
Robertson must have his # retired. Gilmore and Kenon could be too.
Is this the guy that used to smoke after games?![]()
He was also the reason that Charlie Sheen used to travel with the team
I think he smoked during practice or something. These cards came out the year I moved to SA and I never saw this dude play for the team.
Mr. Gorbachev tear down this rafter! Tear it down now!
Robertson's multiple domestic violence convictions and child sex-trafficking charges make that unlikely.![]()
Club house lawyer...trade his ass!
Good call on Larry Kenon, though playing in SA only four seasons hurt his chances.
IMHO, the Spurs should have 2 numbers retired....44 and 50. with the rest of those guys, they should have made a Ring of Honor type thing like they do in football. With the Ring of Honor.....Gilmore, Robertson, and Mitc would also be added.
Alvin is the obvious player but he'll never get it and rightly so.
He was certainly a superior player to Johnny Moore, whose number is retired. Alvin started the freaking ALL STAR game and had a quadruple double. Granted, he is one of the worst human beings ever to don an NBA jersey. But seriously, Johnny Moore didn't deserve it either at all. Moore barely had a much of a career, being sidelined with Desert Fever for so long. A desperate ownership group trying to throw a bone to a bored fan base.
Hmmm, after thinking about it for a while... I've come to the conclusion that I see none other more deserving that #50 David Robinson. What Spurs player from the past should have his jersey hanging in the rafters?
Former Spur Patty Mills
Unretire Avery as far as I'm concerned.
I think if Gilmore or Mitc had a longer run in a Spurs uniform that they'd of been worthy of consideration. Robert Horry was pretty instrumental to the Spurs playoff success.
Honestly, though, the big 3 should be the next three jerseys retired.
Tim needs more than a retired jersey. They'll need the Duncan/Pop statues out in front of the AT&T.
Pop's tan suit needs to hang from the rafters
