I don't know why the Mavs even want Melo. They already have Ellis, who needs the ball in his hands to be at his best. Dirk will soak up the rest of the shots.
Deng is really the best fit. Shores up the perimeter defense and adds a legitimate third scoring option. Getting Melo just makes Dirk and Ellis spot up jump shooters.
If we somehow got Deng and Lowry I will spray the walls in my apartment.
If Dirk still wants a few more rings he should join the Spurs, Mavs ain't gonna win no rings anyway, with or without Melo tbh.
