enjoy some soccer, especially since my HS days, but there are some issues with the sport. no sport is perfect though, I can find that annoys me in everyone. only sports I don't bother with are hockey and baseball, which is sad because baseball used to be my favorite. not sure what happened.
Baseball has gone to under Selig. Until the late 80s it was exciting, but now the batter is constantly stepping out of the box and games takes ing forever. And of course the record book is now meaningless since Selig let everyone use steroids for an entire generation. Baseball is about as exciting as Tour de France right now.

    Great comeback, dude.
He's right though. People gravitate towards the sport where they can make money. If the level of quality sucks, then the sport sucks. No one watches the WNBA and D League teams not because of the sport but because the quality sucks. That's why no one plays soccer in Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, because the level isn't there in the country.

With all due to respect to soccer, it is a weird sport due to its emphasis on feet and lack of hand-usage. The human brain is tightly connected to the hands, and hands are represented in the motor cortex more than any other body part (except the face), which is why we are able to use them for fine motor coordination. Feet are relatively coarsely represented in the motor cortex and are not designed for fine motor coordination.

that sounds good enough. i just know it's the only sport i had genuine talent at, watched it the most as a kid even though Niners were my favorite team. I think the baseball strike and the steroid scandal ruined what was left of my feelings. now I still keep up with the Giants but not often unfortunately. right about the games taking forever, this is a point of contention with purists but it takes forever. for me it's basically basketball, football then soccer.

And that's why soccer players are insanely skilled doing the things they do. It requires a lot of finesse and not just brute strength. Youre doing spin moves, fakes, jukes all while running. Using a body part that doesn't have the dexterity of your hands. That's why people like Kobe and Nash have great footwork, because of this sport.

    Or the interest.

Some countries dont have certain sports. Take the Dominican Republic for instance..

They dont have the slightest interest in soccer, or a team or even play it on a professional level. (as far as I'm concern)

As opose to their bread and butter, baseball.

they even have a Basketball team, for all that's worth. lol

Some countries are known for what they do and soccer is just not one of those.

Yeah I agree with that, not every country in the world is going to be interested to a certain sport.
