Well, Özil, Höwedes and Götze were all god awful yesterday. Some others were also bad, but you can't change the entire team. Mustafi is injured now, but I would have replaced him anyway. If Hummels is healthy again vs. France I would also switch Lahm back to defense. My team would look like this: Neuer - Boateng, Hummels, Mertesacker, Lahm - Khedira, Schweinsteiger - Schuerrle, Kroos, Mueller - Klose. I would prefer Mueller up front, but who to put on the right wing? Both Özil and Götze need a break, they have been pretty bad.
I agree. Bring Goetze off bench if need be, he seems best at that role taking advantage of his quickness late in games

I don't think Klose can play a whole game. I sub him in and move Mueller to the Wing or use 2 Strikers late in the game if Germany is down

Hummels is crucial. Mertesacker's lack of athleticism versus the French attack could get ugly

    Neuer
    Boateng - Hummels - Mertesacker - Lahm
    Khedira
    Kroos - Bastian
Schuerrle - Ozil (Goetze, Podolski available)
    Mueller

The fear is it's a slow lineup, especially attack. And Bastian looked pretty beat up late vs Algeria. This might force Loew to put Lahm back in the holding CM position. Sliding Khedira back to super sub.

You want Lahm to play left?
    Agree with the rest though.

Lahm cannot run, that is why he plays in the midfield...

well, I don't mind to switch sides with Lahm and let for instance Großkreutz play the other one. Boateng hasn't convinced me either.

Loew is anti-Grosskreutz for some reason

1982 Germany vs. France - the Red Wedding

French player Patrick Battiston's controversial collision on a breakaway with German goalkeeper Harald Schumacher, which knocked Battiston unconscious and forced him from the game with two missing teeth, three cracked ribs, and damaged vertebrae (though no foul was given on the play), added to the tension on the field

I'd prefer Durm, so Lahm can play right. Hummels/Boateng in the middle.

Low stated he's made his mind up about Lahm in MF. Only change will occur if attack from RB is needed
