War never changes; there is no such thing as a just war.
Someone wanting to kill you when you have a tank in their backyard shouldn't come as a surprise. Its their country, and they have the right to be pissed. That being said, its hard to find s like the Taliban and they need to be completely eradicated. The indigenous population would agree as well, since the group is hindering the progress of their country. The problem is that we're killing the average Afghan citizen as collateral on a regular basis though. Its hard for me to romanticize the advancement of that when the world has no shortage of widows and orphans as it is.

Not that it's nice out here (cause it's not), but the money is great and I can pretty much do/go wherever I want to now. Wish I would've done this 5 years ago...but I'm definitely going to retire as an expat when the time comes.
