Then we agree.![]()
You let baynes go if Gasol is willing to come, yes.
Lmao

The only thing you have to worry about with a Diaw/Gasol/TD/Tiago lineup is whether Ayres can adequately get those guys their gatorade in a timely fashion tbh.

Thabo Sefolosha is here visiting the #Wizards ... #NBAFreeAgency #Thunder
It's either/or between Diaw and Gasol. Spurs can't properly distribute the minutes if they sign both.
Dude the spurs were light years ahead of the league last year, and there is no reason to think that will change next year unless OKC adds a key piece which can gel with Brix and KD. Add that to the uncertainty in Miami, and the fact HOU has two perpetual losers on there squad and are looking to add a 3rd. The other well coached teams (Mavs, Clips, and Bulls) are missing key parts which even if added will need at least a year to gel. nah, if Andrson is the only addition after signing Mills/Boris we're great
Of course they can. Gasol goes to the second unit with Diaw and takes Splitter's minutes when he's playing like a pussy.

Thunder can make compelling case to Pau Gasol, and have $6.5m trade exception if a sign-and-trade becomes an option.
Don't underestimate a Euro's appreciation of Oklahoma City's cosmopolitan lifestyle.

By my math, absorbing any more than $5.3m into their trade exception would push Thunder into the tax, which they have never paid.
See I think he wants as far away from LA and Kobe as possible.
That could give OKC a significant advantage over the Spurs if it comes down to a choice between those two teams.
Unless OKC is willing to pay tax, it's unlikely the TE comes into play. So it's still MLE v MLE for OKC v Spurs.
They will pay the tax for sure, much more money to be lost in the long run by losing Durant in 2016...
Can the Spurs add the DeColo trade exception to their MLE? (I'm no capologist.)
Unfortunately they cannot.
Well for sure seems to be strong considering:
1) They never have paid the LT
2) They weren't willing to pay a less punitive LT for Harden
Awesome. Spurs just need to sell him on the future, and that when Duncan retires next year (?) he's the low post guy of the future. Would be as close to seamless a transition as you can get!
OKC has state tax?
id rather have baynes than some stupid deal for pau. He's old, he's ty on defense. What good will he do, and dont give me the pick and pop or hes a great passer line. After the McDyess debacle I want no more visibly washed up, slow, centers.
Yes, but I was referring to Luxury Tax from a CBA perspective.
Have to imagine no state tax in TX has to be considered as well. Think between OKC/SA, it will mostly come down to who he wants to play with and who he wants to play for.
Pao is no spring chicken, but I'd still like him depending upon other options.
Are there any other legitimate candidates for the Spurs MLE?
Can it carry over to next year if they don't use it?
