Woj just said on FS1 that he thinks he's leaving LA. Wouldn't mind at all if he stayed in LA, although it's looking more and more likely he will not.
wow - guess he is done in LA
I'm with you. If it comes down to Pau going to OKC, Miami, or the Lakers - I'd MUCH rather him cash in and stay away from our main compe ion.
Wow I guess he doesn't want to stay in Indy.....So who do you think goes after him or wants him?
Lakers will be all about Lance.
Gasol in OKC or MIA would certainly be a disturbing turn of events, but it looks like he'll have to take the MLE if he wants to go to a contender. Given that this is probably his last significant paycheque, I wonder if his desire to win or his agent's desire to maximise his cut will win out? And if the agent wins, where does he go?
I think Pau will sign with the Bulls. I think they will offer him the most money and they are a decent team. Any of the other teams he would be taking a huge pay cut.
lakers might take boozer back with gasol
Clippers have engaged the Nets on S&T talks involving Paul Pierce
Crawford and who else for Pierce?
That'd be good enough, I think. Maybe with a second.
It's a win/win situation, brooklyn isn't winning anything anytime soon even with Hollins. Now if only Brooklyn could package the corpse of Garnett away
Another S&T option.
Now if the Grizz were able to get Crawford that would be nice for them, they lack scoring in a big way.
It's not that. It's a good short-term move for Brooklyn as well, given that they lost their sixth man. Crawford would replace Livingston on the bench, Johnson would start at the three and Thornton would slide in at the two.
This is true. Wonder if they would be shopping Lopez if he comes back and has a strong year.
And at this point, that'd be for the best.
I'm happy that Gasol can finally leave, tbh..I've never seen a star player that played a huge part in 2 championship teams get treated so poorly by the fans/media of his team and receive blame for virtually everything that goes wrong with the Lakers..
It's like Tony Parker on SpursTalk, but 10x worse, and even the ing LA media jumps in on it..
And not just fans/media.. I think the Lakers management screwed him badly.. Always keeping him on the trade market and making his life by hiring the wrong coaches, making him play uncomfortable positions and so on. A 2 time championship winner (with the best win shares in both of them) deserved far better. The only things that kept Pau in those teams were Phil Jackson and his monstrous contract, I believe.
This. He's not resigning with the Lakers unless he's a masochist.
We should be gauging interest in Aminu as well, his salary shouldn't be anything too tough to reach.
I'm very interested in Aminu, especially if Chip thinks he can help him become a better shooter.
