There's no way Kirbs is going to be onboard with a tankjob in one of his final 2 years, it would further belittle his shrinking legacy. The Lakers have between $28-31m in cap space to field a team which will make a run for the 8 seed. Unless Kirby has another season ending "injury" before December or is entirely washed up, the most likely scenario is missing the playoffs by a couple of games which will result in 0 picks next year.
