yes, wasn't paying attention. Columbia was massively overrated. Just a bunch of chuckers that didn't respect out of peckerman probably told them. Played like monkeys.
Vastly overrated and badly exposed after easy matches against the Ivory Coast, Greece, Japan, and a Uruguay that was in a tailspin. Even Chile put up a better show than Colombia.

That's a clear red. I don't know how that's even debateable. With a competent ref both Cesar and Fernandinho would have been sent off and several other Brazilian players would have been booked.

Well, the refs have clearly been favoring Brazil thus far this tournament. Vs. Croatia it was a disgrace, same against Mexico. Cameroon was just too weak. Vs. Chile Howard Webb did a good job and did not fall for the dives of Neymar and Hulk. He also rightfully denied Hulk's goal because of handball. And Scolari was already complaining that Webb refused to baby his team. Webb was really the only ref in all these matches who didn't favor Brazil in close calls. Every other ref gave them the benefit of the doubt. Wouldn't surprise me if we see that Japanese ref again in the semi-final. The FIFA wants Brazil as world champions, that's pretty obvious. If Brazil loses there will be huge riots down there (that's already a given) and that's the last thing the FIFA wants.
In this game there were 54 fouls called. 31 of these were done by Brazilian players and 15 alone against James. I don't want to downplay that foul against Neymar, it was an absolute disgrace, but people should stop acting that the Brazilian players were the victims. Guys like David Luiz, Thiago Silva or Fernandinho acted like butchers, especially in the first half. It's not a surprise that the Colombian players changed their style of play after being hacked again and again without getting a call or without a booking for the Brazilian player.

We will disagree here Sport. If FIFA wanted Brazil to win so badly, they wouldn't let someone break Neymar's back. They wouldn't give Silva, Brazil's best CB, a yellow card just before a semi-final against Germany.
Zuniga shouldn't even be on the field after his foul against Hulk (it should have been an automatic red card). I agree that Brazil was fouling hard, especially Fernandinho, but so was Colombia with Zuniga and Yepes. Blame the refs, but they were terrible for both sides simply because he refused to show yellow card to control the game.
Neymar dives and gets a lot of hate. But he is 5'8 with 60 kilos. What about Thomas Muller, a 6'2 with 80 kilos diving like there's no tomorrow. It's 10x worse.
It seems like you guys are trying to come up with an excuse before the game. Brazil will be the one playing without their 2 best players, not Germany. Playing the ref card before the game seems like a desperation move to come up with an excuse if Germany loses the game as a huge favorite. You guys don't need it tbh.
gtfo here clown
we dont care if his a midget or any , when ur touted as the best thing to come out of south america last year and being pushed to be some ur not, even with the PR bull over his hefty transfer fee he hasnt live up to it yet continue to shove down viewers throats that his the 2nd coming off some , cmon man...his overrated and the hate is warranted

First of all: That foul from Zuniga didn't look that bad on the first sight. Sure, in slow-motion it looked horrible and a red card would have been the right call. But to say the FIFA allowed Zuniga to break Neymar's back is ridiculous. If you jump someone else in the back, it's a bad foul, no question. But who could have expected this terrible outcome? Nobody. He should have seen a red card, but don't think it was Zuniga's goal to break Neymar's back. That's idiotic.
Additionally, Silva earned that yellow booking by amassing countless fouls in the first 60 minutes. And in that particular scence Colombia's goalkeeper wanted to make the game fast, starting a counter attack. It was a tactical foul by Silva and he got a deserved yellow.
Secondly, I do agree that Zuniga should have been sent off earlier. I never said that the Colombian players acted like saints. They didn't. However, Brazil started to act like butchers directly from the beginning of the game. It's not a surprise that the Colombian players didn't want to get beaten up constantly. And thus, they also started to foul. Sure, that ref has a huge share of blame to take. He was flat out horrible. A few early bookings would have helped to calm the game down.
Thirdly, I also do agree that Müller often dives. I really hate it. He doesn't need to pull off like that, he's good enough to score without acting like a comedian. Same for Neymar though.
I'm not trying to oull the red card beforehand just to have an excuse. I simply fear that the refs will give a lot of ref love to Brazil in the semi-final as a sort of rehabilitation for that foul on Neymar. Meaning they would be allowed to hack the out of Germany on the defensive end and simultaneously being allowed to go down after the slightest contact on the offensive side and getting the free kick, or even worse, the penalty.
I only want a fairly reffed game on Tuesday. If Brazil beats us fair and square, you can be sure that I will be the first one in this forum to congratulate.
Edit: And I do think Silva can be sort of replaced by Dante. Dante is not as good as Silva, but for sure he isn't a scrub either. Neymar... sure, he's impossible to be replaced. Fred is too lazy und Hulk has also been quite bad so far.

I was talking about Zuniga's first foul. It was way before he broke Neymar's back. He went directly to Hulk's knees and no card, not even yellow.
Again, the ref allowed hard fouls and that should have been a red card directly. That's his fault. I do agree that Brazil was fouling a lot and a lot of players deserved cards, especially Fernadinho in the beginning of the game. There's a huge difference between a game with flow and a a game with no calls. That Spanish ref screwed up big time and both teams were fouling hard with no consequences because of that. I never said that Brazil was full of saints. Scolari's teams were always like that, even the 90s/00s Palmeiras/Grêmio. But in end, Brazil lost their best 2 players because of the ref, that's why I am not buying this "BOUGHT WC" argument.
I wanna a fair ref too and I can guarantee you that I will be the first one to congratulate you if Germany wins fair and square, with no excuses.

I was talking about both of Zuniga's fouls. Just check my post again. The one you meant I commented here: -> "Secondly..." Zuniga should have been sent off way before that foul on Neymar. But so should have been Fernandinho (he had 3-4 fouls in the first half all of which deserved a yellow) and Cesar (for his foul against Bacca).
And despite the ref making many mistakes (we both agree here), that yellow against Silva was deserved. Sure, as the ref was missing a strict line in this game that yellow seems to be sort of unfair, but according to the rulebook the booking was correct. It was a tactical foul to stop a Colombian counter-attack and such a foul is usually penalized with a yellow.
Let's hope for some fair ref on Tuesday and a good game![]()
Fair enough Sport. That's what I hope too![]()
