What, did the years after Shaq and pre_Pau, where Kobe won the MVP and did the 81 point consolation prize game not inspire Lakers fans enough to branch out and talk ? No. It was Pau. Kobe was carried to 7 Finals, and since Pau was a new comer in his first 3 seasons, Kobe was gifted the Finals MVP when it was rightfully Pau's award.
