I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one who wants nothing to change about this team this offseason? Any change aside from a minor addition (8-10 minute a game player) will probably greatly disappoint me. In the past I'd kind of wanted to try anything. I figured why not have an amare stoudemire or a metta world peace brought in. Why not? These guys have nothing to lose. But this team is the first ever that I DO NOT want to change. Won a championship decisively and I'm convinced they can do it again with the exact same team. I will be sorely disappointed if any shake ups happen. So please, no Marvin Williams, no Caron butler, no Chris Kaman. I might just vomit

Only big shakeup would be Gasol, by far likely not happening. Don't worry little buddy. But thanks for not using one of the relevant threads and instead staring your own.

The lineup in the playoffs isn't the same lineup in the season. Guys like Marvin Williams and Kyle Anderson will probably be brought in for the same reason Marco Belinelli and Patty Mills were - to impersonate other Spurs players so the system won't implode whenever their key players are resting.

As long as we get Diaw re-signed I could care less what else happens.

When Diaw re-signs we basically have no roster spots open. So yes, we're standing pat by default.

That's cause you're a special Spurs fan. Most of us here want Melo or LeBron, I mean, who wouldn't...

Lebron, Bosh, and Gasol would be great additions. Not too keen on Wade and Melo though.

I think Diaw's our most important free agent. I think he's the key to unlocking our offense against the teams we lost to in the past (OKC, Heat). We don't get by those teams without what he brings. The other key is Pop understanding just getting him to shoot isn't his game. Allow him to make basketball plays.

Standing pat would be great, but getting another potential good player for the team would be awesome. Even more versatility can't hurt.

I always prefer to have the strongest team possible. I always prefer to try and get the number 1 seed, and usually to get the number 1 seed you need depth as it's a very long season. You don't want to wear out your players or not have anyone that can step in, in case of injury, so adding as much depth as possible is something that should be looked at. I'm not saying you have to try and do a blockbuster trade or signing, but I really do think you should always try hard to improve your team.

Most of the other times that the Spurs won the championship, other teams seemed to pull off big trades or signings. I don't think you should stand pat if you have a chance to improve the team.

This time around though, the Spurs have more depth than they've had before, but I think that they should still try add pieces that can improve the team.

I said time and time again, that I'd love to see them bring back the exact same PO roster.

But it's still fun to TALK about some FA's.

Very superficial to stay put after winning le, to think you don't need to made a change, but if you want to repeat you always need to look also out of the box some...

I can't believe how many people are OK with standing pat. So you guys don't want to try and improve the team at all?

Thing is, that the ballmovement should just improve (if thats possible) with one full season under their belt (ouside of Belli its even more). If you bring in major players thats not a given. So basically, either you...

    1) ...bring in some of the smartest teamoriented players which you trust will fit right in (Marion+Pau may fit, but I'm not 100% sure...I'd rather have a player that didn't win a championship in his career. Just for the guys to win it especially for him and to make him the guy that keeps the fire burning. Pau and Marion don't fit that bill.).
    2) ...bring in minor players that won't see major PO minutes anyway (Euros?).
    3) ...just stay pat.

    4) ...get Pau just to keep him away from OKC (they are scary with him on their team).

    The mavs would not agree

That being said the only 2 teams to repeat in the last 10 years added a good player in the offseason. Ray Allen for the Heat and Ron Artest for the Lakers
