Rockets disrespecting Lin while pretending that Fatmelo is "the key to a championship"
Daddy was a pivot to our 2011' squad, especially at the defensive end. It was a horrible mistake to let him walk in the first place but it's never too late to fix what you've done wrong, imho.
Trading draft picks for an Uncle Tom blaming all his problems on his owner, then pretending he is key to a championship.
Keeping McFail
No one has the illusion he will take them anywhere. On the other hand, trading picks for Vinny Del Rivers.
Morey does![]()
No. McHale has openly taken issue with Morey's analytics approach. He is not there because of him.
McFail is there as a puppet coach for Morey who won't tell his team to stop chucking threes, tbh....
It's neither here nor there, though - getting back on topic, the Lakers and Rockets beg equallyPERIOD
Who is deflecting? I agree he sucks.
I think I already explained why the Lakers shouldn't have to, so I won't explain again.
I dont care about the disrespecting Lin part but I agree that Melo is a bad fit on rockets.
In fact, the only team that Melo would probably "make sense" on is the Clippers.
Kobe/Melo/Randall is an interesting combo. If the Lakers can turn Nash and Gasol into some good players, they'd fight for a low playoff seed. Some team like Cleveland, Atlanta or Detroit has to want out of their PG's long-term deal. Nash for one of them may work. Gasol can still net an asset.
Fat would be a terrible fit for us... we need defense at the wings, not iso-chucking....
No one is taking Nash. They would need to trade a pick or two to send him out, and they already don't have any.
Melo is made for Chicago. They need a go-to offensive option. If Nate Robinson, Marco Belinelli and DJ Augustine can excel there, Melo can take over.
I wouldn't be sure on that, especially if Nash is serious about retiring if he's traded. Nash wouldn't be anywhere near the worst contract traded this year without picks being involved.
+1
Everyone got played, mainly Houston and the Lakers who appears to be the biggest beggars in the Melo sweepstakes, Chicago not so much. We all know Melo was using these teams as leverage since Jackson has implied all year long that Melo should take a paycut.
The Knicks have already offered him the 5 year max, so that correlation doesn't make sense. He's using teams as leverage to get to Chicago.
There has been a lot of posturing from the Knicks camp in terms of the deal in place, numerous Knicks fans has stated this, no one really knows if the max offer of $129/5 yrs in the table, thus you see why Melo's camp are still leaking out rumors that he's still intrigued by other teams. It was suggested that Phil was offering close to it and is still convincing Melo to take less to help rebuild the franchise.
2nd scenario could be Melo forcing a S&T to Chicago.
This was from Woj's most recent article:
After Friday's meeting with Knicks president Phil Jackson and coach Derek Fisher, sources told Yahoo Sports that Anthony had become more comfortable with Jackson's plan to use him as the cornerstone to lure free agent stars into salary cap space in 2015 and '16. One thing that still bothers Anthony is Jackson had wanted him to take less than a max contract, sources told Yahoo Sports.
Crybaby bull from a 30 year old man.. They offered you the max so take it or leave it..
This has to be handled delicately when Phil Jackson is involved. Him signing in New York ain't the end...it's the beginning. What is said now and by whom will be important when all the laughter dies in sorrow and Media does not want Phil holding the dirty end of the stick at that point.
