He's only a 2nd year player. Never got playing time at GS. He got his shot and didn't the bed. Be a great backup to retain on the cheap since the Lakers are looking to spend 90% of their cap on 3 players (Kobe, Melo, Gasol).

IF they get Melo, I hope they re-sign MVPAU last. That way they can go out some cheap available players to fill out the roster, then go over the cap to pay Pau (UFA).
