"I am all for a healthy hardness but some of Brazil’s fouls were over the limit. Brazilians are not only football magicians, hard tackling is part of their game – we have to be careful and so does the referee"

    porkbelly with the truthbomb

Brazil goalkeeper should have gotten a red too and Thiago should have gotten a red long before he got his yellow

its the refs fault for not enforcing the game and allowing the hits, the ref and brazil are mainly responsible for breaking Neymar

Brazil-Argentina would have better ratings than Germany-Holland anywhere in the World except Germany and Holland, tbh.
    This is true.

if you add the indirect tv coverage of the resulting riots and inter supporter massacres I think it would be pretty even

    I can envision this tbh:
"the brazilian police gave the argentinean fans safe passage on their way home after argentina won the cup. Due to extreme heat extra hospital beds were needed . Many of these ailing argentineas were brought to hospitals by caring brazilians who also helped with their lost passports The friendship between our nations is at an all time high . At least we built so much for the people in this wc The government invested 9 billion in ifrastructure that will benefit brazil for the next 50 years. Due to such investments many acres of favelas were modernised #re-election #order&progress #anticorruption"

The WC Final ratings will take a dive if it's GER vs NED.
Should Germany and the Netherlands already forfeit their games in order to please Blatter?

    My German Recap

    - Loew's decision to entrust Kroos with orchestrating the offense instead of Ozil or even Goetze has paid off

    - Khedira returning from injury has been the domino. It has allowed Lahm to return to FB helping the attack but also Boateng to replace Mertesacker which is needed versus the more explosive teams. Bastian is somewhat injury-prone especially given his playstyle so going into battle with only 1 strong CM would be scary

    - So far the TEAM MVP is Hummels

    - Deutschland might go on a Spanish run if they cash in with this le. Adding Reus (German Robben) in attack & maybe Gundogan & Bender in CM looks mighty fine

As I said in the other thread. Brazil will win this one on heart alone and then lose in the Final (maracanazo part deux)

    First Maracanazo and now Vertebrazo

With Germany up 5-0 they'll commit a stupid mistake in the 91' and give Jo a penaldo

Brazil will go out firing for Neymar and for country and they'll take the first thirty minutes as some sort of an indignation rally for the "travesty" that happened to that got Neymar. Germany has to weather that if they want to win this game. Eventually the emotions will level, Brazil will get a little tired and that's where Germany can beat them methodically. Of course if they get an early goal, the better for their chances obviously.

partly agree. But as time goes the home court and crowd will weigh heavy on the Krout Panzers. The crowd will probably be the loudest and most emotional in the entire tournament and the damn Krouts will feel as if they are back in the Battle of Stalingrad

tbh the main hope the Krouts have is to have 1 goal early by taking advantage of Brazilian defensive weakness.

The Brazilian crowd can't save German shots and neither they can intercept the Frankfurter crosses. They also can't score goals for their team. Chile were vastly outnumbered and they almost beat Brazil in the Rd of 16. The most they can do is pump a lot of emotional inspiration on their players, which wears out especially if they lack execution. Proper execution still beats a charge of emotions.
