ha, what a move
Is McRoberts and Granger signing for the minimum or something? Lebron wants more money, Bosh wants more and Wade probably won't take a cut. Where is the money coming from?
McBob = MLE
Grange = BAE
Hat have used both their exceptions, which make sense. Now only have vet min until big 3 are sorted out one way or another.
Not bad. You guys are morons.
Maybe Lebron is leaving.
made move by Granger, coat tailing mofo...
Hope the Pacers knock him out next year, lol.
Really, really bad player, tbh..
Desperation move by one of the worst and most overrated GMs in the league..
ooooooh, now we can beat SA......nope
lebron, kyrie and wiggens sounds alot better.
Granger is no longer the star player he once was, but for the Heat to get him at what is essentially a Jeff Ayres/Cory Joseph price is a smart move... It's impossible to argue that unless you're a completely unobjective homer.
Granger ing sucks..I still can't believe Spurs fans were gushing and begging for him last year..
Granger doesn't "suck" - it would suck to have him as your best, or even your third-best player at this point, but presumably that's not what Miami is going for. If the Heat bring back James, Wade, and Bosh they'll be better than they were last year (assuming Napier isn't worse than Cole).
Spurs are still better though.
Well, the Heat have their Bosh and James replacements.
And they're still acting like he's not awful.
Granger was one of the worst players in the NBA last year..
3.6 PER in the playoffs with a 38.7% TRUE SHOOTING..
He is now a spot-up shooter that can't shoot, and has no defensive impact following his injuries..smh @ NBA fans being brainwashed by names of players..
Interesting.... Rashard Lewis can be had by the Spurs for the BAE. All he gets in Miami is the veteran minimum!
Oh, he sucked all the ass in the P'offs - but that was for a team that was coming apart at the seams and expected him to be a leader for them. He's not a leader, never has been. Miami won't expect him to do more than help keep the defense honest, and I can't see any reason to think he won't be able to do that.
How can a Spurs fan ignore how important a player's role is to his production? If you put Patty Mills as our starting PG and expected him to create his own offense he'd go from being a hero to the new Beno. Good coaches know how to use players to best advantage. Spoelstra is a good coach. Vogel, maybe not so much.
Is Granger brought in for chemistry reasons? Pacers seemed to love the guy and things collapsed soon after he left.
First reaction: Sweet Jesus no.
Second reaction: Pop would probably turn him into Bruce Bowen 2.0, somehow.
Third reaction: Nah.
Um, you realize Granger played for the Clippers in the playoffs, not the Pacers, right?..
The Clippers have a good system, all they needed from him was to eat minutes and make spot-up 3-pointers, and he was completely unable to do that..in Miami, that's all their role players are asked to do..
Granger is fine as an 11th/12th man on a contender, like Bonner from last year, for example..anything more, and you're going to be severely disappointed..
I would sign him just to take away this offensive option from the Heat.
