I was told there would be no math.
Over paid not because of his talent, but because his health.
I was told there would be no math.
That is funny, Ron. Good one.
yeah, if bosh leaves then mcbob is just taking about 5.6 mil of cap space away
, the irony. What a ing genius
The Heat would probably be much better off signing Gasol for half the salary of Bosh while letting Chris walk but shhh don't tell anybody!
. lol. I hope Riley isn't doing what I said. I said he should lowball Bosh and let him leave if he doesn't want to come back for a cheaper contract. He's not worth the max IMO. He should then go after Melo instead. Melo's a better shooter and also even a better post player than Bosh.
played all 82 games last season. Knew he was up for a contract, had a chance, and took it. "Overpaid" a term too relative, esp when one gets accustomed to the Spurs' deft cap management.
This is the same thing I am worried about. But will Melo take a lesser max amount to play with James is the real question.
And all presupposes that James comes back and pushes Riley to get Melo.
Or James could take a one year contract and go to New York next year to play with Melo under Jackson, presupposing Melo stays in N.Y.
Per Woj:
"Toronto free agent Nando de Colo has turned down Raptors offer and will accept deal with CSKA-Moscow, league sources tell Yahoo Sports."

5 million a year
melo was suppose to decide this weekend has not made up mind
is james hoping bosh grows impatient

Vibe I get out of New York, meanwhile, is legitimate unease ... given that some in the organization expected a decision from Melo by Monday

Also told some others pursued by Heat (Pau Gasol, Trevor Ariza, Luol Deng) are not interested in "the small money."
They're all playing chicken. Who is going to flinch first?
I think the Heat want Bosh to leave, that's my opinion. I really don't think they want him back for anywhere near max money.
What is "the small money"? Do they all want a lot more than the MLE?
More then likely yes
the heat would be better served if they kept bosh and let Wade walk, but they won't turn their backs on wade who literally just opted out of an albatross just to help them
I don't think you can screw Wade over like that as he's been there the longest. He could have left when he was a free agent before, but he stayed. I really do think that they'd like it if Bosh walked.
If Wade wants to keep Lebron there and continue being a contender, he needs to take a decent sized pay cut. 10-12M per season max, otherwise, I don't see why Lebron would want to come back with both Bosh and Wade asking for huge salaries.
