It was the only pick to be made, so good for them that they made the only choice. As for the FA market goes I'm not really high on Carmelo Anthony. If they somehow get Love that would make me more excited

I like Love because even though he's a turnstile he can score and he can rebound. And he's a big, which Carmelo is not. You don't need to defend in the NBA until the playoffs come tbh

After we swing and miss on Melo we sign IThomas, and maybe either ariza or Lance. We still suck, just barely miss playoffs but this time we end up with a top 3 pick. Oh, well.

Projected by many to be a late first-round draft pick, the point guard dropped into perilous territory for would-be NBA rookies -- the second round, the land of non-guaranteed contracts.
The Lakers, though, were happy to take him with the 46th overall pick, paying the Washington Wizards $1.8 million for their draft spot. The Lakers didn't have a second-round pick because of the Steve Nash trade...
