Let's face it, we're gonna be a compe ive team as long as Pop is running things.
Great news.

Excellent news. Wonder if he'll get a pay raise from $6M/year.
Some great and unexpected news. Yay Pop!
, this was suppose to be Boylen's team to take over.
just kidding. great news. not only was there anyone else remotely qualified out there, but Pop's guidance will be even more needed once Duncan calls it quits. but maybe Duncan will hang around for a few more years as well. either way, great to see Pop leading the way.
SpursTalk is elated with this news: for some, it's more time to appreciate a man with incredible perspective who also happens to be exceptionally good at his job; for others, it's 4 to 5 more years of complaining about that man and his utter incompetence.
Win-win, indeed.
I'm thrilled. 20+ years with one of the all-time greats at the helm is simply remarkable.
Not to mention with the way they still gave Patty a fair deal despite the injury, and how there's so little drama throughout the postseason. Has to make it attractive to guys even if the peripheral factors (lack of Meatpacking / South Beach / etc. clubs) aren't.
Great news. We get to see one of the all-time great coaches continue to coach our favorite team. Hopefully this also helps with Kawhi staying here and continuing to develop his game..
The third guy wrecked that . Wonder if they've been signed yet.
Excellent news!
With Bud gone, the Spurs need Pop to stick around.
Pop just wants to break Sloan's tenure record. Nothing to see here.
Spurs continue to show the entire NBA how things should be done. Great news.

How many years do you want to continue to coach, Pop?

This is fantastic news, I am a happy camper.
I was hoping for this and said so in the Popsucker thread before being trolled.
But this is the best news I could have ever heard and wonder now what the news is about Messina.
Anyone heard about him yet?
Wow! I'm thrilled! We have an excellent chance of transitioning to the next era with minimal pain. This is just excellent news.
This is freakin unbelievable! I'm arguably happier for this than for 5. Seriously. EVen though it would have never happened without 5.
Kawhi got that guiding hand now
Maybe Tim will play 5 more years.
Guessing things with that EU coach didn't pan out.
