La'DariusHamilton is one of many top tier 2016 high school football players that will attend the Texas camp on July 18th. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound outside linebacker checks in from Corrigan (TX) Corrigan-Camden.La'Darius Hamilton is a hard-hitting linebacker prospect from the class of 2016. He will be one of many top prospects trying to catch the attention of head coach Charlie Strong under the lights.
"The recruiting process has been pretty good so far," Hamilton said. "It started out slow but things have sped up a whole lot lately. I feel like I have a better chance of being recruited now."
Hamilton is a bit of an unknown among recruiting fans, but college coaches are keeping a close eye on the talented backer.
"The schools showing me interest right now are Sam Houston, SFA, SMU andTexas," Hamilton said. "I have camped with Baylor and Texas so far, and I've visited the University of Texas and I loved it. It all felt like home while I was there."
Hamilton is hoping to show his skills for Charlie Strong, Brian Jean-Maryand Vance Bedford on Friday night.
"I feel like the strength of my game is defending the run," Hamilton said. "Once I get my hands on the ball carrier he usually never gets away. I want to improve on my zone coverage while defending the pass."
Hamilton will attend camps with SFA and Texas in the coming weeks.
