Why would they want them (and their $30 Million in salary) over the draft picks? Especially the high pick from New Orleans?
Also, why would NO give up a pick? They are taking on ASIK.

New Orleans ALREADY committed to giving up an anti-protected pick for Asik.

Houston has to move quick. You cannot be too greedy but you definitely leverage some assets it's a pissing contest between Cuban and Morey Im sure they dont want to lose Parsons. Bench may be weak but rox would have one of teh best offensive lineups in the game even WITH Pat B starting ...

    Picks??
Wow! Im one of few that actually thinks Lin is a good asset to have (Cant believe Houston doesnt see it)...BUT...picks?? First round picks? No...Lakers...thats too much, especially if you are trying to rebuild.

Smart move for rebuilding purposes, since they're getting picks and Lin's contract is expiring next year, but the Lakers are going to be in lottery for the foreseeable future. 5 years away now from building even a darkhorse contender.

Good for the real Lakers fans, but Kobe fan has to be suffering.

Rockets offense is not point guard friendly or necessary. Everyone handles the rock and plays the Horns offense. It's predicated on swing the ball from side to side and hitting an open man or cutter. Any player can initiate. Never liked this gimmicky offense myself but with Bosh, Harden, Howard, Parsons and meh Beverly, talent alone can win games.

Oh wow - great job by HOU . How dumb do you have to be to give up a pick when a team needs you to take a guy?

Yeah. It was reported the same day as the Tyson trade. I was lambasting the Pelicans. You can ask spurraider21 for confirmation.

Why are you so high on him?

His defense is on Nash's level.

Good move by Lakers tbh. and Rocets had no choice but to give up a 1st. They have to get this deal done ASAP in order to sign Bosh and match Parson's offer from the mavs.

Also, Cul, Lin will be gone next year. His expiring contract is more important to the Lakers than him as a player.
