A great GM, that turned loose of the wheel after going back-to-back. He, like Pop, did it to himself. And with that self flagellation comes a sense of responsibility and with it a squaring of the shoulders and a lifting of the chin. Riley is a good GM, but definitely overrated. Wade was a much bigger factor in bringing Lebron to Miami than Riley was. He doesn't have a history of signing quality guys that others over look. He only has one great trade on his record, and that is landing Shaq. He's good, but not great.

Did we pay Finley the MLE? Since he was amnestied by Dallas, I thought we onlypaid him a million or so, and that reduced the Dallas payment. Doesn't seem logical we wouldhave paid the MLE. I agree with your overall point of beingable to lure him in.
