Gasol wants to rot in New York where the media will in him even faster than kobestans do?
"Two informed insiders have told Charged FM Brooklyn that Carmelo Anthony and Phil Jackson are currently at a stalemate.
The Knicks and Lakers are in talks on a sign and trade that would send Pau Gasol to the Knicks, and ship Andrea Bargnani, Tim Hardaway Jr., and a 1st round pick to Los Angeles.
Anthony wants the deal made to pair up with Gasol and be in a position to compete this season. Jackson is hesistant in making the deal because he doesn't want to trade Hardaway who he reportedly hasn't been shopping at all.
Both don't see eye-to-eye, and word is if Jackson doesn't make the trade Anthony could balk and go to the Chicago Bulls."

I'd be fine with that. Keeps Gasol away from Meth/Chicago where he could do some damage.
Lakerfan's dream Big Three: LeBron, Melo, Kirby
The actual Big Three: Lin, Bargnani, Kirby
Very well said!
LMFAO Bargnani. What a day for the Purple and Gold
Haven't seen a credible source on it, but this jives with using your cap space to gain assets. Get Bargnani + Lin with your cap space while preserving next years cap because they are expiring and get 2 first rounders for your trouble. If your plan was Melo or bust and you apparently lost out on Melo, might as well bite the bullet, get assets (Tim Hard Jr + 2 1sts) and rebuild next year.
What the are the Lakers doing?
Hardaway is
Has a Bargnani billboard been erected in front of Staples yet?
We're playing Go Fish homie![]()
Hopefully Melo decides LA in a shocker. He can still get 20M per year even with Lin. That would be awesome.
I wouldnt go that far. I like him.
same here
Knicks
paid two picks to get Bargs
paying another to get rid of him
can't see the obvious solution of just letting Melo go in an S&T and rebuilding
Got to hand it to the Lakers if this trade also goes through. Lakers getting those first round picks back while preserving cap space for 2015. Although, no one really wants to play with Kobe so they still have to wait until he retires before becoming contenders again.
YEAH!!!
Lakers securing some international merchandise sales.
If Pau isn't coming to the Spurs, going to the Knicks is probably great news for us. Going to OKC would've been problematic, IMO.
My guess is Houston now that they've got so much cap room and no other options.
Dwight's presence might sour Gasol on going there. Not sure how well they got along in LA.
Not worried about OKC, Westbrook always comes through with clutch bricks to seal it for the Spurs.
