True. Compared to Dean Lombardi and his Kings, these NBA teams look like piss-pot hacks. Christ almighty!
    Don't be obtuse, asshole.

So no Melo to LA now. That's for damn sure. They had (without stretching Nash) 24M in cap space. They have 8M for Lin, 5M for Swaggy P & 9M for Hill. That's 22M. Even if they stretch Nash now, that only leaves 6-7M per year for Pau.

Seems the writing on the wall for Pau & Melo.

So they must have renounced Pau? His cap hold was $20+m
They either had to sign him to a smaller deal or renounce him to allow for Lin trade. We know they didn't sign him with the other deals they announced, so they had to renounce Pau.

I'll believe it when Pau signs elsewhere.

Jordan is now the best center they have and Swaggy is the best SF they have, so the Lakers starting lineup as of now:

    C: Hill
    PF: Randle
    SF: Swaggy
    SG: Kirby
PG: Nash/Lin (Nash will be in a suit by December)

    Bench: Sacre, Clarkson, Marshall

    And still no coach.

NY can only offer 2/$7m. Only realistic chance he goes there was a S&T which isn't happening now.

I can't decide whose offseason is funnier at this point - Miami's, Houston's, or the Lakers'....

It's impossible for him to stay, Cub. Lakers only got like 7 million left in cap space. No way he signs for that to stay on a lottery team.

Yup. So the only real options are CHI/OKC/MIA/SA.

Could have been worse for LA, tbh. They could have thrown a bunch of cash at Stevenson.

HOU and MIA can pay him more than MLE, so they are probably the frontrunners.

Kobe's gonna score a lot of points this season.

Not gonna win too many games, but lots and lots of points.

I highly, highly doubt HOU tries to pair Pau with Dwight again. Not only that, it would require Pau choosing them in the next 2 days and signing. They have to move fast with that Parsons sheet if they are going to match.

Yep, he's gonna take off after Kareem and have the old lady fire up the calculator.

If they stretch Nash, they can have around 6-7M, but they have not indicated they are doing that yet.

I would be surprised if they don't try. And Pau will decide tonight:
