I think many are underestimating the Davis-Asik frontline. Since when were good bigs - especially good at the defensive end - just given away for middling first round (unknown) prospects?

So fat ass Windhorst just said the Bulls want to wait and see what happens with Melo before they key in on Gasol? Come on Gasol don't wait jist pick the Spurs already..
One more step, Pau.. One More..
Same source as the Marca.com article, but figured I'd post it anyways
As long as Pau doesn't go to OKC. I'm happy.
Not really, and it only counts for $8.33 Million.
They would have been better off keeping Lopez. I think they're pretty much tied in overall impact, and Lopez is cheaper. But bigs don't have the trade value they used to.
Forgot, do you really think they will eat those salaries, Daye or Ayres? I put that way out in the tail of probability. This team is just so good with money and staying competetive in a small market, I don't see them throwing away a million or two. That is why I am leaning toward the other options.
Agreed. He would probably help okc more than the spurs. But acquiring him hurts okc, so that's the important thing.
I'd miss Baynes, a lot. But keeping gasol from okc looks more important.
They were willing to eat Malcolm Thomas' salary last year. With the stretch provision, small salaries are even easier to waive.
I don't think the Spurs will get rid of Baynes, it will Aryes for sure. They are sending Daye and Aryes to Vegas. IMO its to see who gets to stay and who gets the boot.
I don't see us keeping Baynes if we get Pau.
But Lopez left in 2013. They don't have a beefy center to pair with Davis, who is legitimately a four in the TD/KG mode. Asik should be ideal for them. Besides, he has that attractive cap contract for next season (only season). Makes more sense than Lopez.
Ok, interesting. More flexibility than I thought they had.
Baynes is a good asset to have. I still want him on this team. Ayers and Daye, hit the road.
Baynes is the Spurs enforcer. You always need like a guy like that on your roster. Plus he has proven himself against the likes Howard, Lopez, and Adams on defense.
Lakers would apparently take Boozer for Gasol.
Lakers can no longer S&T Pau. They renounced their rights to him today.
We keep Baynes and get rid of Ayers.
Do we know for sure that they renounced his rights?...I don't see anything about it online.
Link please. All I'm seeing is that they may renounce, but nothing confirmed yet.
