    Here's something to ponder while we wait.

    Are these players in the top 3 ever to come from their respective countries to play in the NBA? It's amazing, even if we don't land Gasol.

    In my opinion, 4 are no brainer number ones.

    France - Tony Parker, Boris Diaw
    Argentina - Manu Ginobili
    US Virgin Islands - Tim Duncan
    Spain - Pau Gasol
    Brazil - Tiago Splitter
    Italy - Marco Belinelli
    Austrailia - Patty Mills

    I'm nearly 100% certain that today's other transactions mean that the Lakers can no longer do an S&T with Gasol. Gasol will sign as a free agent with another NBA team.
