I posed the question in the Bryce Cotton thread that If he or another guard really impressed in summer league, would Cory Joseph attract any suitors. I was summarily laughed out of the building. Apparently, if Iverson, Thomas, Stockton, Nash, Parker, and Paul all had a sausage party love child, and sent it back in a time machine to be a 20 year old undrafted FA playing in summer league this year, we still would not trade Cojo to get that genetic freak on our team. Cojo's lock on the backup-backup position is that tight.
Now I didn't ask if we would trade him, just asked if there would be any interest if The Spurs attempted to do so. But, the above information was volunteered to me, anyway.
I think he means to trade Cojo out, for like a draft pick, etc. In order to bring in the guard they would be, hypothetically, more interested in, into Cojo's roster spot.
The cons:
A rookie point guard would be getting minutes for a large part of the season with Patty out, and Manu maybe injured.
Cojo doesn't turn the ball over a lot...rookie unknown.
Cojo knows the system and players well.
Cojo is considered to be a better defender and is longer than Tony, Patty, and Bryce, although not Darius.
Pros:
Anyone they would bring in would probably have impressed (probably on offense) them considerably to make that change given Cojo's considerable advantages.
Cojo seems the safer pick, given Patty's timeline, but he doesn't seem to have much upside, offensively.
He's primarily only gotten to play in games that don't matter, at times that don't matter.

I really hope LJC gets to play. The Mavs have played a guy (Yuki Togashi, the next Yuta Tabuse..) who wasn't listed on their initial roster, so I guess it's possible.
No, but there is no "18" on the roster, either. Looks like him. Maybe he is just working out with coaches, etc. Or, a last minute entry, if possible?

I'm gonna flip if Jean-Charles is on the SL team. I actually think he and Anderson would make for a really nice forward combo.
