Money well spent imho, dude's gonna be a top5 PG in the league within a few years imho.
So I guess the Rockets made a run at Bledsoe and Phoenix isn't willing to match?
Money well spent imho, dude's gonna be a top5 PG in the league within a few years imho.
& I'm 25 years old.
Thats a lot of money for a one way player who's small
Are they pumping him up over in PHX yet?
Radio guys are killing the move, saying we overpaid. Pretty much everyone else thinks it's a great bargain for him.
Of course, I'm listening as we post. They start the show off (2PM) firmly denigrating it, then as the show goes along they turn it around and by 6PM local time when the shows ends he'll be the greatest thing since sliced bread. "I was wrong, he's going to be a great acquisition. And his short stature will be really be a + rather than -. I wish he were even shorter. Yeah, even shorter. Even shorter. I like his shortness. I'm glad. McDonough, he's a genius, I don't know where we'd be without him."
! Why do I listen?
No, they started off killing it, now as the shows winds to an end, they've turned it around and are defending it. By sign off they'll love it.
Not sure, maybe you should move.
That's Gambo, though. He's a flake. Probably got a call from Sarver telling him to stop the negative press.
"flake" my ass. He gets his materiel right from the Suns PR Dept.. He just relays it to us over the radio.
And they ran me off the site last weekend. suckers.
Yeah, but I think we can agree that he jumps on the bandwagon when a Phoenix team is playing well and then jumps right off when they struggle.
Absolutely.
Fact Gambo originally preferred a 30+Old, 11-5 starting PF with a bum ticker for 4/32 million than a sub-25, 20-6 starting PG for 4/27 when your starting PG is a FA demanding max money, and your fan favorite comboguard is a year away from 30+ and doing the same proves Gambo is a goddamn idiot.
I'm still puzzled by the signing, but even I as an University of Arizona fan whose watched Frye since we were both in high school at the same time doesn't think he's worth 4/32 at 30+ with heart disease.
A worse signing is PJ Tucker. Let the hustle bum leave, showcase Gerald Green for deadline trade, see what you have in Marcus Morris, and develop TJ Warren as a SF for the future.
Now contrast that with Hawes & the kid up in Utah, your dream pair. That's progress in "your" eyes. That's on the record. You ed up by brazening it out for James. You knew, but, you were to vain to let it go after the 48 hour limit you swore was your governor. What I want is a public accounting for McDonough. I want him to answer for this. I can want in one hand and in the other and see which one gets full first.
Hawes hurt. He's a perfect replacement for Frye, but is young and better defensively (though still not great).
But Frye isn't worth 8, and Hayward sure as isn't worth 16.6 a season. Not no way. Not no how...
Both were waiting out max deals for their value, just as Bledsoe is doing.
This signing isn't a part of the problem, but indicative of the real problem:
Sarver all over the players last lockout. Very publicly. While he's made smart moves since, elite FAs aren't signing with Phoenix because of Sarver.
But McDonough isn't blameless. Tucker seems stupid. Len and Ennis like wastes.
But while the King or his Love ain't walking through the door, it was foolish to ever believe it, and I will tip my cap to better judgment in the Frye/Hayward passings, but still gnaw my teeth at Tucker's waste of CAP. , his deal was almost Hawes.
5.5 million per is way too much for Tucker. I'm just glad they let Frye walk at least.
The number of point guards they're ac ulating is ridiculous, if they really intend to keep all of them as they claim.
u dont pay a backup who earns just as much as the starting pg, are they thinkn of switchin tragic to sg?>
I hope for a sign and trade for Bledsoe if he really wants the max.... anything else is bad for Phoenix.
You don't want to have all 3 of your best players be a natural point guards :O
Bled for Love would be awsome.... but it smells like Cleveland for him.
Can someone who knows anything about the Kings explain this to me - why didn't they want to keep Thomas? Who will fill in the PG spot for them?
Is he a headcase?
Collison fills the role, plus I think they think Stauskus is an NBA PG, since he was a successful NCAA PG.
Thomas is short. That's his defect. I've heard many people say he's an excellent teammate going back to college. He accepted a supposed 6th-Man role with Phoenix after putting up 20 PPG and 6 APG as a starter.
Sacramento just has no idea what they are doing.
Tried Evans, then Jimmer, then Vasquez, then Thomas, now Collison.
Thanks man, makes my day better... than maybe there is an option to have them all 3. But then they can use Goodwin and the other rookie PG as a trade chips.
Because you are a die hard hoops fan like the rest of us![]()
I wouldn't trade Goodwin for anything other than a superstar. Kid was a year young for college, struggled at times, but his explosiveness is like a taller Russell Westbrook. Skills take some time to acquire, but he's had praises sung over his coachability in this time. Hornacek will teach him a consistent stroke and once the jumper is there, he's a top-5 player in the draft.
Ennis is peculiar. So is Thomas, but Goodwin is one of the best value prospects in the League.
Don't know what the they're trying to do tbh... So many point guards... Ennis is a great prospect but how do you develop him if he never has the ball in his hands, let alone the necessary playing time...
Even if they sign and trade Bledsoe I don't get it...
