So my understanding is that we would use the MLE ( up to 4 years $22 million, or 3yrs $16 million) or S&T with L.A.

From what I understand. Bonner would need to sign a inflated deal (with next seasons salary $4 million) with the following years team options or a partial guarantees. I think S&Ts have to be 3 years or more ,but can be non guaranteed after the first year. The Spurs attach Ayers and maybe a pick (unprotected 2nd rounder). The Spurs could give Gasol a 3 yrs, $25 million deal.

That would be $8.7 in outgoing salary for the Spurs and clear up and additional roster spot.

the lakers can't really execute any sign and trades for any salary of note when it comes to Pau. they're too close to the cap as it is. a third party would have to take on Nash just to facilitate a deal. it's basically MLE or bust for us. the bulls can offer more if they amnesty boozer
