With all of the Monopoly money being thrown around, this is actually a VERY good bargain for the Hawks.

ESPN sources say Kent Bazemore is headed to the Atlanta Hawks on a two-year, $4 million deal

If we could get Gasol for the MLE and Aminu for the BAErescind Baynes offer, cut Cotton after the preseason, let Bonner walk and ship Ayers to clear space
Rather go for Mike Miller with the BAE. Cut Cotton and let Bonner Walk. Dump Ayres somewhere
Duncan Diaw Gasol Splitter Baynes
Kawhi Miller Daye
Green Manu Belinelli
Parker Cojo Mills ?Anderson? (I'm not real sure what position Anderson will play in the nba)

Mavericks have been hopeful of retaining Vince Carter but ESPN sources say Grizzlies in serious talks to try to swipe Vinsanity from Dallas
Why Carter has not expressed interest in joining a championship contender team?
He is still ringless.

Memphis is finalizing an agreement with free agent Vince Carter, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Solid pickup for the Grizz

Glad he's out of Dallas. Played well for them last season.
Carter will be 57 when his contract ends.
Nice price for Vince but 3 years is a bit much...2 at the very most.
3rd year is only partially guaranteed
Have to admire Carter's work ethic in his later years after it was questionable earlier in his career when he relied on his super-human athleticism and body..
He's in his late 30s and still effective as a 6th man, while Iverson/McGrady/Arenas/Francis/Marbury and so many other star perimeter players from the early 2000s are out of the league..
Lakers are more likely looking at 2016, not next summer. 2015 Free Agent class looks weak, with Love likely being traded and signing a long-term deal (and therefore not being available) and Aldridge re-signing in Portland. I guess Rondo, Jefferson, and M. Gasol? But I have trouble seeing Gasol signing there after Pau's experience, and I'm not sure if Rondo or Jefferson makes LA a le contender. I think Brooke Lopez had a player option, but who knows if he'd opt out of his current deal.
That would explain why most of the deals they've been giving out are 2-year deals. That said, huge risk given Kobe aging. Are they basically forfeiting being a contender for the rest of Kobe's career?
