I live in Atl and no way Gasol comes here if he is looking for Cultural. One of the most uncultural cities in America, unless you like Indian (Asia) cultural.
I live in Chattanooga. I'm sorry for your unfortunate situation.

To the people saying that a sign-and-trade for the Bulls with the Lakers is no longer possible: If that's the case, why hasn't Gasol committed to the Spurs yet? What's the hold-up?
Did the math (semi accurate estimation) . If they take back Boozer and Tony Snell or a 1st round pick in his place, they'd be at for 8 players at 73.7 (76.4 until Randle officially signs) or without Snell, 7 players for $75.1 ($77.8 until Randle officially signs)

if they do the Spurs deal it would be $62.7 million for the Lakers for 8 players.

More good news. Basically sounds like it's going to come down to our MLE vs. theirs...in which case I don't see Pau picking Chicago.

I keep telling myself this won't happen but since I keep reading about it, a part of me can't help but get excited.

How would Houston even have the cash unless they don't match Parson? They'd have something like $5.7 million if they do match and that's to 9 players. They could offer him that and use the room exception (i think) and fill out the other spots with vet. mins. though

Why would Gasol want to play beside Dwert anyway?

Parsons' cap hold is only like $6m and they have until Sunday to match. They can sign Gasol with any available room first, and match his deal to go over the cap.

The Lakers don't have the cap space to sign Gasol. Can't do an S&T if you can't sign the player first. (Lakers renounced Gasol's Bird Rights in order to complete the Lin trade)

If I were the Bulls, Gasol is a luxury but the need is scoring on the perimeter. Ariza could give them that and some defense. A Rose-Butler-Ariza-Gibson-Noah is a strong lineup if everything works out health wise.

Wasn't aware of that. Then that should bode well for the Spurs, i would think.

Woj on Fox just said it's down to Bulls or Thunder. Thought maybe he misspoke, but it's Woj and he said OKC after mentioning their trade exception (which they said earlier they wouldn't use).

    Very muddled.

Actually they can still pull off an S&T after renouncing his rights but would have to find a 3rd team to take on Nash's salary, which would also require giving up other assets, in order to absorb Boozer's. So it is very unlikely.

Hmm...that doesn't make sense. Everything we've been hearing points to OKC being out of the race and the Spurs being favorites along with Chicago. Stein and Shelburne, along with a reputable Spanish website all reported the same thing (us and Chicago).
