dallas has more in common with utah than with the spurs
Why not? utah has 10 players and under 30M in cap used, so as a gm i don't see a reason to allow cheap resignings from other teams
dallas has more in common with utah than with the spurs
And how does that help your "Charlotte made a power move by making Utah overpay" argument?
This was a essay prediction since it was already gathered that soeone would overpay him mid way through the season.
Shouldn't a max offer be 4 years, $68 million?
LOL at people upstairs thinking it won't take a max contract to sign Leonard next summer.
Who cares? everyone else on team below market value ...pay him whatever it takes overpay if need be.
Him too. Hayward is the better defender, but I would rather have chandler.
Though he does have some in him. Lucky bas s. Could make the difference.
Well, like Kawhi, unless he is willing to take less than max from his current team, letting him sign a 4 year max deal with 4.5% raises elsewhere is still cheaper than a 5 year deal with 7.5% raises with his current team.
it doesn't, i just like to talk on dem ponies tbh
the charlotte hornets are under the cap right?
i see what mj is doing here, t hrowing max offers at teams who are close or already close to the cap with FA forcing them to overpay to re-sign players...so it pushes the team over the lux tax to pay more tax revenue
while mj collects them
Don't blame the Hornets for doing so. If I were a gm 10-12 mil would be the top range I would pay Hayward. But considering his age and his production and the lack of quality young wing player this FA, its no surprise he got this contract.
I already said Parson was going to get a 15mil a year deal from someone as well. His stats are almost the same as Hayward's. This is what happens when when a team doesn't draft well or develop players. They're left overpaying to get quality players.
As Spurs fans, where so use to players being paid their actual or below their value, it would seem like heresy to offer a player this sort of contract. RJ anyone.

GH is a solid starter on a poor team and a nice back up on a contender.
Lance Stephenson's agent should fire Lance. What an idiot this guy was to do what he did. He will make some money, but it seems like a great possibility he cost himself millions for being a dummy.
I didn't. I took issue with characterizing the offer as a power move.
I know, but its a desperate move, not a power move. Agreeing with you on that point.
He ain't herePERIOD
