The more the process plays out, the more the Wolves’ near-term options seem to be dwindling. The Cavaliers are said to be willing to consider a deal for Love, but No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins has been assured he would not be included in any such trade, a source told Sporting News. That leaves the Timberwolves to pick over the likes of forward Anthony Bennett (last year's top pick) and guard Dion Waiters.

Lebron probably told the organization he didn't want Wiggins to be traded away.

No, dude has got serious potential, Bron's influence will be great for him, assuming they're sincere in keeping him.

If they can get Love without giving up Wiggins/Kyrie/Anderson that is huge.

The T-wolves fans that I work with are all banking on getting Wiggins for Love. They all thought it would be a done deal when Lebron picked Cleveland.

It's clear the Cavs are his best shot at a le...Wade is on the decline with no jump shot & Bosh is rarely effective on that team. Zionist is supposedly a great coach & Cavs maybe youthful but they're stacked with young talent.

Lebron probably hoping Wiggins can develop into his Kobe or Pippen. Hanging on to Wiggins is a decent gamble but trading for Love would pretty much guarantee a finals trip next year. Sign Miller and Ray Allen, then have Waiters come off the bench.

The thing is though, wouldn't the salaries need to match? Doesn't that mean trading away Varejao, who has the largest salary? They will need to include Varejao to get anywhere near Love's $15 million salary. If they trade Varejao and Wiggins, that definitely won't seem as good as just trading Wiggins. They need Varejao next to Love to handle the tougher defensive assignment.

James is most scared of losing in the Finals again

Rather go down in the ECF with a young team
