This tbh. Auerbach was against how many teams? Less than 12? Tired old bags.

Its like guys who try to convince me Rocky Marciano would have beaten Lennox Lewis or Klit brothers in his prime. These guys fought in a time way before the mutant freaks of today. Marciano was 5'9 on a good day, Lennox or Klit brothers are only a few inches shy of 7 feet and have devestating power.

Of course Rocky is a more historical figure, but its re ed. Same goes for Auerbach, was playing in a league that sucked at the time. 90% of the centers looked like Kip from Napoleon Dynamite tbh

You're kidding, right? I am incredibly stupid,,,,beyond belief actually. But Spoelstra has his team poised to go to 4 straight Finals and win 3 in a row at the age of 43,,,,Popovich didn't win his 1st ring til the age of 50 with the best Power Forward of All Time and could never defend a le and actually choked it away last year,,,,game over, son.

Gee I think Pop could coach the best player in the league with two other all stars in the historically weak eastern conference and have the same success. I'd love to see if Spolestra or Jackson could equal pop's success without the cadre of superstars on their teams to guarantee success.

Ti question Pop's rank among the all time great coaches is plain stupid. He earned the status as a HOF coach like 10 years ago and has done nothing to tarnish his credentials. He may arguably be the best ever given the constraints of coaching a small market team instead of the Lakers, Bulls, and Heat.

Because according to pop, they're never defending their le since its past history. He doesn't let them embrace the concept of defending. he won't even let the PA guys introduce the team as defending nba champions or nba champions for that matter.

It's part of his annoying nonsensical micro managing and thinking he's smarter than everyone.

Phil Jackson shouldn't be in the top 10 for best coaches. He's got the most team success, but he started with the most material. The best coach gets the best results with the least amount of material. It's like saying Lebron's agent is the best because Lebron is the best, but in reality probably Gary Neal's agent is better because keeping Gary employed is harder than getting Lebron max salary.

terrible point system. does not take into account management of players, scouting/drafting of talent, development of talent, ability to integrate systems, management of news media, maximizing the potential of bad teams, and a number of other highly important factors that go into coaching.

MJ playing baseball. PJ leads the Bulls to 57 wins and game 7 of the ECF. He's won in the CBA. He's won the most rangs in NBA history.

    Give the man his due.

    1) PJ
    2) Riley
    3) Pop

If Pop wins #6, he leapfrogs Riley.
