I've had my many issues with Bonner. We all know what his issues are, but It was never really his fault. He is who he is. He wasn't giving himself all thoses minutes. It was just frustrating watching the spurs flame out year after year wasting Duncan's years with Bonner as his sidekick.

But at this point, I don't mind him on the team. His role, as it should, has been reduced to situational. I still feel he has that one big playoff game we've all been waiting 7 years for in him.

I'm so sick of this BS. Bonner, Daye, Ayers, Baynes all ing SUCK. They're all completely useless, and we've re-signed all of them (Baynes will eventually accept the Spurs qualifying offer, and were stuck with Ayers).

We had a chance to release Daye, Bonner, and Baynes and we kept all 3 of them. And don't tell me we wouldn't have been a better team with Cotton, Thomas, and Bertans/LJC on the roster instead.

And don't act like RC is perfect and can't be questioned either. We were god-awful from 2008-2011 thanks to his decisions to stay with the same outdated cast of role players. And were doing it again. Bonner, Daye, and Baynes didn't step on the court during the Finals or much at all during the playoffs. They will never contribute to the spurs championship aspirations in the future. We should have brought in 3 much younger, more talented players who can actually contribute to this team in the playoffs.

And screw summer league now. The Spurs roster is full once Baynes re-signs. Anderson is the only one to watch now. Goodbye Cotton, Thomas, Jamychal Green, and all the other prospects in the summer league that showed promise. We passed on all of you for ing Matt Bonner, Austin Daye, and Aron Baynes. I hope you're happy RC and Pop. You better win next year. Or else.

Didn't seem to be a problem this past season.
just because the spurs won anyways, doesn't mean there wasn't a problem.

I would expect a rant like this if we had NOT just won a championship, but last I heard, we did.

The problem is the same as it was with Blair. Get rid of the guy and get somebody in there with some potential. Summer league Green could have been plugged into that spot in the Blair era. Do you think he would be worse or better than he was today?

For the minimum, he plays a nice niche role and his lack of athleticism is somewhat offset by his combination of perimeter shooting and size.

perhaps even more importantly, he knows his role in Pop's system inside and out.

Bonner has been a locker room favorite for years, and Pop has figured out his role over the past couple seasons.

For the vet min, welcome back, Red Mamba.

People forget how critical Pop's adjustment to put Bonner in the starting lineup in the OKC series was. That drew Serge Ibaka away from the paint, and really opened the floor up for our guards.

It can be said, with only a tad bit of exaggeration, that the Spurs would not have won 5 without Matt Bonner.

Most of us with any sense at all remember this.
The problem is, some on here are devoid of sense.

I was at that game and it was the beginning of the end for the freethrOklahama Thunderefs. The Red Rocket put them in a tailspin. The fact he missed every shot was moot. RED mamba SPREADS the FLOOR!

Sources say that Bonner receives a minimum of five new suits from Men's Wearhouse as he'll be using them all quite abit next year!

Spurs can clear out Errors and Daye if they actually were able to sign anyone
Bonner on the min playing spot minutes is a good 4th big option
still shoot 42+% from 3 in the reg season as always

What a waste. He'll just keep missing every time he's left open
Yeah all those shots he gets those gigantic 5 mins every third or fourth game.

Cory Joseph + Ayres/Bonner in the regular season rotation?

    Goodbye home court advantage!
The same rotation last year then. Makes sense...

I mean, it's fair and there aren't probably much better options for a 14th spot, but just ready for this Matt Bonner era to be over.

He hit shots in game 6. Played solid defense, and was never out of place.

If you guys had half a brain and understood how important THAT is to the offense and defense.
