I still think Baynes will sign his qualifying offer.
And I would not be surprised if either Daye or Ayers were let go or traded.
I doubt Cotton makes it past training camp, and ends up on the Toros.
Wouldn't mind Mo Williams for minimum.

can we get Monroe for our MLE?
No way... Unless you mean Mike Monroe
I'd be cool with taking Davis as a project, but he's one of the 3 most overrated prospects in the league, tbh..
In a market that pays Jordan Hill 9M a year? What do you think?
I'd take Ed Davis over Ayres in a heartbeat.
That said, he's not worth the full MLE.
you do realize that 50% of 3&D is 3 right? the guy doesn't have a functional jumpshot
bottom end roster spots are typically worthless, but not with the spurs as currently built, which is why Daye/Ayres having spots is so ing infuriating
So there's a 99% chance that the final roster spot most likely goes to Baynes. Damn, I hope I'm wrong.
best case is Baynes will be back, Ayres traded for a future 2nd, and get lucky to sign a pseudo star for the MLE.
I would try to trade Ayers and take Ed Davis
Hope you are not wrong! Like him and we might need him vs. Houston.
Just like a lot of posters here I'd like to get rid of Ayers in favour of a young or servicable SF/PF, but if we are just bringing the whole band back together (+SloMo) I love our offseason!
Ed Davis, please! Someone that I think would actually do something with minutes unlike Pendergraph. (I refuse to call him Ayres).
lol. No-one is going to give the Spurs a pick for Ayres. That's a dreamland scenario, not best case.
Spurs would have to send out a 2nd round pick for a team to take him.
Still a washed up piece of
I'd hate it. Williams is the stupidest point guard since Steve Francis.
Ed Davis is better than Baynes. No one is debating that. But the one thing people need to keep in mind is that it takes a while to learn the system.
Personally, i dont think either one is all that great an addition...the Spurs need smarter vets as backups vs. younger potential guys. Why? Two reasons - one is to give the Spurs more $ options in 2015 and beyond when TD, TP and Ginobili retire (don't want a bunch of younger but less talented guys eating up cap space and roster spots) so that bigger free agents like Aldridge, Love or someone else might be possibilities and two, vets pick up the system faster and can be had for portions of the MLE and/or BA for vet minimum for shorter periods of time. This may be the only chance that many of those vets get to win a ring - thoughts of Micheal Finley come to mind.
The Spurs are lacking one piece, a defensive minded 3/4 who can shoot from the corners. It was supposed to be Stephen Jackson but he couldn't behave himself . . . And is part of the reason why the Spurs lost to Miami last year.
I hope this year it's Shawn Marion.
