Rockets seemed to hate Cassipi, and claimed he would never pass. Probably wrong system for him in the first place, but I wouldn't mind him on the team.
Cassipi seems like an obvious buy low Belinelli clone like last year. Sign me up![]()

I wouldn't be shocked to see the Spurs go after him if he clears.
Casspi is straight trash & a racist...no thanks.
Racist? Where did you get that?
Magic just got Anthony Randolph in a trade for one of their foreigners and they are going to waive him....would his skill set fit here?
Wondering why the Rockets didn't chase Monroe instead of settling for Ariza. They had the money and Ariza just ate up a huge chunk of that.
Not trying to be funny, but Randolph has been in the NBA for 6 years. Most of his minutes the last 4 seasons have been in garbage time.
What exactly is Anthony Randolph's skill set?
6 fouls?
He was the 14th pick of the 2008 draft by the Warriors. 24 year old 6'10" SF/PF who has played for 4 teams in the last 6 years and mostly garbage minutes.
He reminds me a little of Daye in that he has never lived up to his potential.
Isn't he a decent rebounder and shot blocker?
He was in his first two years in the league. Last year though he was down to 1/3 of those totals. Don't know if it was due to injury issues or what.
Man, details of Mills contract came out and very favorable! Less than the reported 12M for 3 years:
Year 1: 3.8
Year 2: 3.5
Year 3: 3.5
----/////-----
Total: 10.8M~Fully guaranteed & no options.
Casspi is an absolutely awful player..
Why do Spurs fans love scrubs, tbh?..Granger, Butler, Casspi, etc..
Eh, it's a longshot to sign a starting caliber player at this point.
I'd rather the Spurs not sign anybody that will want playing time/more than the minimum, tbh..
Last year a bunch of Spurs fans were hoping Granger/Butler would sign and even take some of Kawhi and Green's minutes..
That's an easy wish.
Gery Woelfel @GeryWoelfel Bucks are still shopping Ilyasova and, as an NBA official added "shopping him hard."
Timing is never right with this guy. I recall there was interest in the past, but that's probably come and gone with the emergence of Boris. Contract isn't bad though.
If Spurs are smart, which they are, they won't spend that MLE. Most players seeking the MLE aren't worth it. All we need is to sign an adequate small forward to give some back up minutes and cut Daye. Leave a roster spot open and wait for a good player to get bought out of a bad contract and then out bid everyone for him with the MLE and the incentive of being a playoff team. If no good player pops up, just save the cap space for more flexibility in the future.
In Spurs system, I bet he'd shoot lights out. Funny they want to trade him bc Kidd allegedly loves him. Hard to trade him with his contract coupled with last season's performance. Just wait for buyout.
His contract is fair plus the last year is partially guaranteed which is nice. But like you allude to, spurs can't cobble together contracts to get him at 7m with asset they're willing to part with.
This is when I get annoyed that they didn't move Bonner's deal last year.
There's no reason why the Spurs can't sign someone to a 1 year MLE deal or a 2 year MLE with a Team Option on the second season. They can just tell the free agent that they want flexibility next off season or the season after. If there is someone they think can help us and it would take the MLE to get them, then just offer a 1 year or 2 year deal with a TO.
Who's the fun , outgoing woman in the avi?
