The San Antonio Spurs reign supreme over the NBA after capturing the 2014 NBA crown.
However, there’s no doubt San Antonio will have a huge target on their backs, as teams in the league will be giving the Spurs their best each night in an attempt to dethrone the champs.
And throw in Lakers’ Kobe Bryant in that mix.
In an interview with Fifa.com, Bryant was asked about the Lakers’ West rival and while he did say he is happy for San Antonio, he also admits the Lakers will be using the Spurs 2014 NBA le as fuel for next season.

"Well deserved. It really is a lesson on how you get guys to play together if they share one goal. I am very happy for the Spurs. It is a motivation for us. Hopefully we can do the same next season."

First off, no way the Lakers can win a le next season. So stop right there Kobe.

Gone is Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, and Phil Jackson. The Lakers (as assembled right now) add up to a team not even sniffing the postseason.
Jeremy Lin, Nick Young, Jordan Hill, Kendall Marshall, Robert Sacre, rookie Julius Randall and the rest of the current crew in LA won’t be enough to compete in the tough West.
Add the fact Bryant is coming off an injury-riddled season and is not the same spry player he once was, and you have the makings of another sub-par season for Los Angeles.
Kobe has to remain positive though. Can’t fault him for trying to motivate his team heading into next season but even he has to be realistic at the Lakers’ chances at dethroning the Spurs as kings of the NBA.
He might also have to accept the fact, Tim Duncan has a great shot at getting le No. 6 before him. Something which does not sit well with him.

Lakers are borderline the worst team in their own division, let alone entertaining ideas of the playoffs or a chip

    Kobe!

Kobe is like the loud obnoxious guy at the office that does not understand that he is not well liked…The room empties when he walks in & he just thinks it is by chance…

And yet the media eats that right up. Anybody with half a brain should know that itd be impossible for any team with Kirby on it to play Spurs basketball.

He hunted Daddy down, left him where he found 'em.

He doesn't have to hunt Howard down, he'll always be there where he found 'em.

Gasol in Chicago, eh? The creep had one team out of 30 that suited him to a "t". You just knew damn good & well he wasn't goin' there. Nope, not with a .45 pointed at his gourd.

It's one thing to let a couple a pipe niqqers like Perkins & Powe break your honkey ass, but, an intellectual like Chandler and a guy who let a girl cold sell him Tupperware? No.
