Koolaid_Man I don't think you're wrong but they just don't see Lance as a worthy investment given his history. That's probably why they're steering away from him. My guess is having a serviceable big man is a better platform than a wing player with mental issues. So my guess is Love, Aldrige, DJ and Gasol are their targets in 2015. If all else fail, then they will probably proceed picking up Jordan Hill's option, continue developing Randle and continue singing players for cheap and go all out in 2016.

I honestly just don't see any other resolution unless another team's incomptence comes into play and trades their disgruntled star for peanuts to the Lakers.
Come on bro..mental issues really? Lance is just channeling his inner Dennis Rodman and since when did the Lakers have reservation about going after controversial players? Lance is a stud and I would have him on my team any day....there's no one in the league like him at the moment...a defensive specialist, that can handle like a PG and shoot 50% from the field? what is the league smoking by trying to black ball this kid....because he blew in Lebron's face and play slapped him? Lebron...and shame on Larry Bird for low balling Lance...if it wasn't for Lance Indiana would have gotten swept by Miami all because Paul George was trying to win while looking pretty...Lance was the ONLY reason they had ANY pride in that series....

I don't know man, I'm on the fence with Lance. I like what he brings and he's obviously versatile. My only concern has always been his maturity. I can live with Lance if he's crazy like Ron, but It would be hard to support him if he's just another JR Smith who had a great season in his contract year. There's just too many red flags with Lance.

And I can't believe how disappointing this season is when it comes down to the idea of acquringLance as our biggest FA lmao.

You're a special kind of idiot... Melo opted for the bigger pay day...these max type players in 99% of cases choose the more money...Non max type players have to be offered the big bucks before they can accept it...Ariza was never offered only looked at...try again idiot

LMAO @ a Stephenson/Bryant duo..epic fail written all over than . One alpha, and the other a truly beta, alpha poser in Kobe. Kobe would have Stephenson out of a job by December.

2016 is the year Durant is available that's more realistic than to even be worried about Cap Flexibility for 15....Sign Bynum and Lance and we're set to make a run...the Rockets dropped themselves to 7-8 or seed and will be battling it out with the Lakers..if Kobe comes back to form Lakers will be shooting for the 6th spot
Thats supposed to be the year the next lockout happens. The cap jumps to 80 million (projected) so Durant would be able to get 30% of 80 million , as opposed to 63 million. Thats could mean at least $20 million more on top of the already massive disparity between staying and leaving.

In other words, he'd be a lunatic to leave unless signed and traded.

ing sign Lance Stephenson and get it over already....Lamarcus is resigning with Portland and who the knows what Love will do..that's it in terms of big names on the Market...surely Mitch and Fredo aren't that ing stupid to be waiting on 2015 so they can swing and miss again like they did in 2014.....they ed up big time by passing on Parsons and now another young stud that was the only reason Indiana looked respectable against Miami is on the clock...what will the Lakers do....don't tell me we're gonna keep chasing pipe dreams with the Cap flexibility bull while Kobe's time is winding down...Lance is a stud and shot 50% from the field last season...who ing shoots 50% as a combo guard, and can play small forward and can defend.....Lakers are ing MORONS if they pass up on Lance....got dam Mitch you can't possible be this gotdam stupid.... Lance, Kobe, an Lin would be a pretty unguardable since Lance can shoot and drive and handle really handle the ball. Lin can penetrate with the best of em and well Kobe is Kobe....I hope Fredo puts down that pipe for just one min...and really think about this...

Calm down homie... we have some internal cleansing to do. Jeannie is going to have to go to war with her brother to get the stink of death off us. The media and the haters have dealt us a death blow with this whole, "No one wants to play with Kobe," mantra. Yet, if you asked the top ten players in the league would they welcome Kobe on their team in their hole cities they all would say yes. Its a ploy that the haters devised and executed well after Kobe went back to back. What you have to understand is its deeper than just not liking Kobe. You don't have to like a guy to go to war with him. It helps to like each other, but the greatest players in all of sports have succeeded without having the Magic Johnson personality. Russell, Kareem, and MJ were all despised by teammates at some point in time. Kobe is playing amongst a generation of players that idolized Jordan. None of these guys want to join Kobe to help him surpass Jordan. Jennings let the cat out the bag when he said "they all trying to team up to beat Kobe."

This is a new era, Kool... and Kobe is the last of his breed. He didn't play ball and bend over for the owners and the media so he's suffering for it. They taking pay cuts to win... figure that.

Watching the Lakers at this point is like watching an animal carcass rot in real time as opposed to those sped up videos.
