Til the wheels fall off
them s in the south pacific are pretty much 120% into their rugby and Kangaroo Aussie football to even know anything else tbh.

sad but true
Bull . Typical Aussie sports reporter only knows Football and Cricket, would have had no ing idea who they were. Baynes should have dropped him.

A different link if the original isn't working.
That bloke's from Melbourne, so you can't really blame him for not knowing anything or anyone outside the AFL. , I bet he doesn't even know who Greg Inglis and Israel Folau are.
Julian De Stoop wrote on Fox Sports about the stunt & apologizing to Patty for elbowing his injured shoulder:
I can honestly say that this is the first time I’ve been punked by a bloke with a newly-minted three-year $12 million NBA contract. And I’m pretty confident in saying that I’ve never previously been photobombed with a major US sporting trophy.
By the way, I’ve got some good news for all you Spurs fans out there. Mills’ shoulder is in good nick after his recent operation. He barely flinched when I gave him a gentle shove!
Sorry for that Patty – all the best with the recovery and the championship defence.

De Stoop thought it was a couple of AFL yobbos. He be eating crow now.
Cricket and Darts has a larger following then basketball in Australia.
Doesn't mean a sports reporter shouldn't know our biggest exports when it comes to basketball. You're an idiot Julian.
Basketball has a huge following in the West . You wouldn't see that happen in Perth.
How many teams in the highest level league? Do they use NBA type rules?
They got 8 teams and the rules are more like Euroleague.
Just to clarify about the basketball following here , there's a one page pic and article in today's west (WA's biggest newspaper) devoted to James Innis a former Perth wildcat who just signed with the Miami heat. A few days ago they reported Patty and Arron doing the trophy tour. All the biggest FA signings lately have been reported. The Spurs and it's Aussies always had a mention through-out the playoff and so did other NBA play-off games. Remember seeing the NBA finals being reported on all our local news presentations.
The perth wildcats are only team in the national league that get 10,000 plus crowds to every home game, the next best average would be around 5,000. The wildcats are always doing cross club promotions with the 2 biggest sporting clubs here in the Eagles and Dockers who play in the AFL.
It would be hard to find one sports reporter here that wouldn't know about Patty, Arron or the spurs. Compared to other cities, Perth is enigma when it comes to following basketball.
