Probably not going to happen, but the offseason is slow, so I figured hypotheticals are always welcome. This is the same guy that stated he was close friends with Danny Granger and correctly predicted the Clips having the edge over SA.

    His initial post:

I was talking to a good friend Raja Bell this past weekend who took this past year off, and he enlightened me that four teams were interested in his services. These include Phoenix, San Antonio, LA, and the Knicks.
    He went on to state:

He has remained close with his teammates in Phx, namely Barbosa and Boris Diaw, and he likes both of the systems
Cutting out all the BS posts about the other teams, focusing on the Spurs:

He told me RC initially offered him a spot on the Summer roster, in which he declined because he believes he has proven himself in the league prior to that, which he directly mentioned to RC the series in 05, 07.

The Spurs organization told him they were interested in a role at the 3, having spot minutes ranging in the lower to mid teens per night, if he proved himself in the D-league.

Problem is, Raja is a 2 guard and has lost weight since his playing days, though he sounded excited at the thought of playing in SA.
    Odds?

I say Phoenix has the slight edge over SA, followed by NY. He really doesn't like Bryant.

could anyone imagine Raja on the Spurs? Talk about things you'd never see in the past.. Raja and Boris on SA.

    Edit:

I forgot this last gem in the thread:

All four teams offered him deals, all the minimum. Raja, who declared retirement after this past year, said he will give them all a look and decide whether it is worth another seasons grind.

I felt like Raja announced his retirement some time ago. Must have been another Suns player from the past.

"He told me RC initially offered him a spot on the Summer roster, in which he declined because he believes he has proven himself in the league prior to that, which he directly mentioned to RC the series in 05, 07".

That right there shows he isn't playing for the spurs. I'm sure Pop and RC got a good laugh at a guy using games from 7 years ago as proof that he's still got it

Wow I can't believe he doesn't like Bryant any more than he doesn't like Ginobili. They had some nasty flopping duels and both looked pretty pissed off at times.

Dude's done. I'd rather pick up Courtney Fells. He's been Neal-esque this week.

Here's a hypothetical - when Manu Ginobili retires how long until you stop watching the Spurs all together? I'll give you a week, tops

These retired folks need to stay that way. They didn't retire because they were good. MJ ed that whole process up by taking a break in the guise of retirement. You don't retire after a 3peat, leave for 2 years and come back and win another 3peat unless you're MJ. Everyone else... stay retired.

I think it's funny that the Spurs can get these guys to the Finals but the team they bilked for millions upon millions couldn't.

i agree it's a bad idea, but lets not knock Raja. Career 41% from 3 and went 41% two years ago...
