So TSpence apparently was going on and on about how Cleveland and Minnesota were completing a trade for Kevin Love joining Lebron James as a Cav and that the trade was imminent. So he plastered his Twitter about it and that it was going to happen "at the end of the week".

I don't understand the motivation. He's not getting paid. Nobody lands a job just for breaking stories.

Doesn't seem to actually expose him as a "fraud". He def got trolled, though. Seems to actually have some people he considers to be "sources". Whether they're legit (or others trolling him, also) is what's questionable.
He does seem to genuinely believe in what he's doing, FWIW. I, however, lend no credence to any news he "breaks".

I understand how this has gotten out of hand. It's entirely my fault.. but now I am getting death threats, people calling my personal house phone threatening my, digging into my personal information, etc..

Well, the worst any Spurstalk poster would do is call your house and hang up. Then, they'd come here and start a thread about how they trolled you. If you gave them your address, they might egg your house and then run and hide.
Also, you shouldn't be giving out personal information like cell phone numbers and street addresses to people you don't know or iden ies you can't confirm. You're only asking for trouble. Also, if you like reporting, here's a tip. Don't confirm unless you've heard it from a legit source. Accuracy is more important than being the first to report. Posters here are still pissing in their cup of morning Joe over the Gasol fiasco.
