Manu is probably the one that told the Spurs to not let him play, tbh.

Manu just needs to be there for Argentina. He doesnt need to go all out. He's just going to be there to provide morale for his team mates and his country.

The league has broken his bones, now they aim to break his spirit

You don't understand Manu at all if you think he can just show up. He would play until his femur split like that damn kid from Louisville last year.

Y'all are some dumb s, and I say that as a card carrying member of the Church of Manu. Dude is almost older than dirt (Tim), trying to recover from a broken leg. Argentina.

Let Manu decide for himself. He's a grown ass man and the Spurs organization should respect his wishes.

The guy wants to play. Let him. #FreeManu

I'm on board with the cover of "give me an official letter forbidding me to play elsewhere" letter so I can just chill and rest up.

Manu is very fragile and not getting any younger so any more mileage can only hurt.

That being said however, I think that he would just tell them he's not feeling up to it. It's not like Argentina is North Korea or anything.

    Yea... CIA MANU!!

That way he has a legitimate reason to feed the frenzied Argentine public and save face.

Emmanuel needs to think about his future. The reigns must pass on. Hes not getting any younger and his body is spent. Why not sit back and enjoy this life and this championship. Why should he continuously play for the national team. Hasn't he proven enough? Let him sit down or force him to sit down for his own good.

In Argentina you can not ban a player to represent his country even when in full compe ion, the priority is ARGENTINA SELECT.

    something you do not understand.

They will break the spirit of Manu, depues many years in the spurs will send a letter in his day ban birthday?? too bad about the leaders of the Spurs!

Argentinian Basketball has gone to . Corrupt from top to bottom.

Manu and the rest were probably going to Boycott it anyway. This gives Manu an out.

If it's not about the money, then let Manu opt out of his contract, play for the NT and then resign with the Spurs for the vet. min cause he'll probably be worn out. It's not about the money right?
