there's a ton of em in guardians. the collector's museum alone has stuff everywhere
Quite a few language bombs in this movie
How'd you like it, T-Dub?
As the GOG is not a comic i'm as familiar with I enjoyed it, every character had a chance to be a badass including Rooker's which was surprising to me and unexpected. I also like that even though it had zoe saldana, who i absolutely abhor, they didn't need to make the female character "I am woman hear me roar" annoying like we saw in thor 2 and iron man 3. Expected more badassery one liners from the raccoon though, cause disney has to see the $$$ in that character when it comes to the kids. Lastly if I had to say one bad thing about it, and it's a weak critique. The drax character just felt unnecessary, he wasn't a bad addition but what the did he do exactly.
Yeah, I was completely unfamiliar with the storyline as well, so getting to see each character fleshed out a bit was cool. I liked 'em all, aside form Zoe's...which seems to be the overwhelming sentiment.
I've heard the biggest complaint with Drax (from people knowledgeable of the character) is that they made him out to be some kinda pussy (which, evidently, he's anything but in the comics) that couldn't handle ANY big bads. He kept trying, and kept getting ed up. I dug his dry sense of humor, though.
, the humor throughout was on point like a muh a, and you even found yourself kinda caring about the characters by the end. And as a huge P&R fan, I was curious to see how "Andy" would do in a role like this. Nailed it.
Thanks for tha heads up![]()
Man that movie was awesome
IMAX 3D didnt look as great as people made it out to be, except when stuff was coming right at you (I blinked my right eye when something pointy got close)
Of course, going to the movies always makes you feel super smart, because there are always a couple of re ed people who laugh at the most stupid
oh and
"no raccoon or tree were hurt during the filming"![]()
Great movie. As someone who thinks the infinity gauntlet is really stupid and hated the Avengers, I really dug everything about this movie.
Most fun I've had at the movies in a while. Easily the best movie of the year so far.
I thought it was boring and quite a let down after all the great reviews.
I honestly didnt care how it ended and just wanted it to end. I really didnt like Avengers either.
Joke. Fight. Joke. Fight. Joke. Fight. Joke. Fight.
I guess Im just not a big fan of comic book films. Havent seen one I really enjoyed in a loooooong time.
Were you expecting an Oscar worthy performance from Chris Pratt?
Went and saw it last night, completely expected it to suck and was surprised as to how much I liked it. My only complaint was the random swear words that don't help anything at all...pretty small complaint but I had my kid with me and was just annoyed...other than that, movie was awesome I thought.
I could see where it could become sort of like Star Wars for this generation of little kids, the characters are somewhat similar and my 5 year old was running around the house with an iron man mask on all night saying he is "Star Lord"!
If you looked on this thread I gave a warning about that
I didn't see that...but I wonder why they feel the need to do that? It's not like it helps the movie along or anything.
i bet ur kids loves to watch pixar/disney movies, but when u chuck on a cartoon movie u watch as a kid, they will give u wtf is this 2d look....
is so frustrating...Tom and Jerry or Smurfs come on and I get all fired up and they lose interest in 30 seconds.
Way better than your average summer popcorn flick. Really enjoyed it. 3D was solid as well.
My daughter loves the old Donald Duck cartoons, and Jem.
Really good movie. Marvel movies have really delivered this summer.
Saw it today. Best movie of the year imo.
