It's sad that these players are brainwashed to "play for their country" because the White media and casual fans continue to push the "legacy" narrative..
They have been convinced that "playing for your country" will "add to your resume", which helps the perception of their "legacy", when in reality, it means absolutely nothing from any standpoint, tbh..it's especially sad that they mostly target Black players and they breed these s to believe that it's a honour to play for your country and jeaopardize your career
