Not to mention the first 20 min is the 2013 finals
it was very impersonal
This is the worst championship video I think I have ever seen. It was all low key and nothing seemed epic about, unlike the real life season and playoffs that actually happened. They spend about 5min on the regular season and say nothing of the importance of the bench in obtaining the home court throughout. Its like yeah the regular season was good. They mention the Dallas season and show the Vince Carter shot but never seem to show how hard that series really was. They don't even mention Splitters work on Dirk. I mean WTF!!!! On to Portland. Here they didn't mention that Portland had no bench and that was why they lost. They say basically in one minute that they couldn't compete and that's it. Now you would think they had saved all this time to really show the OKC highlights and talk about the OKC series. But they didn't. They don't even show Durant or Westbrook hardly at all. They don't show Westbrook's last second brick shot that hits the backboard at the end of the game to lose it, or talk about Durant's struggles or highlight any specific Spurs player. They casually mention Ibaku and nothing of his impact or anything else. It was like 8mins and done. Ok so the video sucks all the way and your thinking holy crap the Heat series must be good right? Nope, once again hardly any highlights no Lebron with "They trying to smoke us out of here", nor the quote and huddle before game 5, "Follow me". They mention the quote but don't show him in the pre game huddle saying it, which loses all meaning. They mention nothing of Patty Mills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except to show two of his shots like they were after the fact. This whole video is from someone who didn't know anything about the Spurs and it showed. It was a half ass attempt to make money and the NBA should apologize for putting their name on it. This video doesn't evoke any emotions, nor really give you the epic road to redemption that actually happened. Armad you suck for your voice lines, you were bored and man did it show. If your not excited about doing a championship video then don't do it. The best thing a Spurs Fan can do is buy all the playoff series and watch them many years from now and see what actually took place as this video doesn't even come close to telling the actual story. O they hardly mention in the whole video any of the bench players, not Joseph's dunk that kindled a fire, no Bonner, no mention of Bayes great game, nothing on Beli( maybe mention 3 point contest). Nope nothing. This video is absolute trash.
FU for that crappy video.....hire someone with talent and passion next time

I thought it was OK. Your expectations were just way too high. All championship videos are about this level of quality.
Yes! I thought it was just me that felt that way. I totally agree with everything Razor247 and Mookie point out.
Weird...I pre-ordered it from Amazon and haven't received it yet.
yea its horrid i rather watchlast years even tho we lost lol
This. I was hoping for more regular season highlights which would have made it more like the tale of a journey towards redemption. I got a whole lot of last years finals and a lot more Heat highlights than I cared to see.
Man that sucks. I was going to order it....
Not 2003 video, that one was on a WHOLE different level and by far my fave. I agree though most are just ehhhhhhhh, I will watch online or get it later at a discount price, no need to rush out and buy this one.How can you watch last years when there was no Championship DVD? I didn't quite get your post.
Are there any extras on the DVD version? I downloaded it on Itunes but it didn't have any extra behind the scenes or anything.
The last good le DVD was the Lakers one in 2000. Thankfully the Spurs got a classic DVD in 1999, but the rest have been lousy. Miami's DVD last year was pretty awful too. I remember wondering how the you could make possibly the greatest game in league history (Game 6 of the Finals) look like such a snooze-fest.
got mine from Amazon two days ago, but I do have Prime
Oh but there is a Championship video every year.......
I thought the 03 DVD was lousy too, at least the main feature. I could give a about the closing quarters, since I had all the full games from the playoffs anyways.
- TP Interview with Ahmad Rashad (6:04)
- TD Interview with Steve Smith (2:50)
- Spurs Teamwork clip (2:04)
- The Spurs Way clip (3:28)
- Official Trailer for the DVD (which is what you find on iTunes, etc) (1:03)
Well yeah I didn't have the closing quarters so that part made it special to me, the ones after that didn't even do that at all. They can atleast add that back in again.YES, but what Spurs fan would want a Heat video to watch when they beat the Spurs? I would not go near it.
75% of the main feature is already on the interwebs in various clips, tbh... and the Bonus features were also extremely short and generally disappointing...
More of a piece of memorabilia than anything...
^ this
Glad I got it via iTunes for only $12.99 instead of forking over $29.95 for the DVD.
It was $17.99 from Amazon for me... since I preordered, they only charged the lowest price they had listed since I ordered...
It includes both a DVD and a Bluray...
05 had the closing fourth of Game 7. I think I just downloaded 07's DVD off sport-scene, so no idea on the special features there.
I finally watched it after 5.
Ooops no, I do have the 07 DVD and no closing quarters there.
Good thing for us, there are a ton of good Spurs videos out there on youtube. From the beautiful game, to the spurs reborn from the ashes, etc... This day and age, I guess it's not too uncommon for these championship DVD's to be subpar with social media and there being a lot of exposure already. The element of surprise on these DVD's is gone, and that's one thing I was concerned about because they showed so much of the behind the scenes stuff on the internet and TV, they basically left no surprise. That being said, I'll still get it to add to the collection.
I watched game 6 after we won our 5th, before that the final minute or so I tried to watch and it made me damn near sick. I can watch game 6 now and not want to throw a beer into the TV SET. I would not watch a Heat DVD though of their le, no way.
The two Beautiful Game videos are incredible.
