Win/Win for ESPN
most of us were already getting it to begin with.
There's just nothing else to talk about at this point tbh so bumping one of Blake's idiotic threads is always a solid option.
For those that don't already have the LHN, it won't be bundled with the LHN. For those that already have the LHN available than yeah, the SECN could just be added.
I put my order in for DirecTV earlier this week. I get the SEC network and the channels where the Lobos will play some basketball games and my wife gets the Big Ten Network so win win. But really, TV. I'm pretty excited for the first game I get to go to in the renovated Kyle. I came to some games here a decade ago and it was the loudest stadium I've ever visited but this should be even better.
You can't really speak for all SEC subscribers, but it's good to know you'll be getting the Roadrunner network when it rolls out.
"We know there are a lot of A&M fans out there and we're very excited to be able to make sure that they'll see every A&M game that's available on the SEC Network," said Pete Abel, Suddenlink Communications Spokesperson.
The expanded basic cable plans starts around $72 a month for one*HD*box.
Pete Abel with Suddenlink tells us the Longhorn Network will also be added as part of the deal."

This thread was me asking a question, not making a claim of any kind, but if you're that bored, let's discuss this again:

My favorite part is where the chick is saying "gooooooo s"
What's yours?
DirecTV has best picture by far outside of OTA, but watch out when the promotional stuff falls off after a year, your bill can skyrocket if you're not proactive.
Yeah, I'm paying 60/month for the first year but the second its around 85. When you place the order online you can look at the future bills. Its definitely pricey at that point, but in the longrun I'm saving over going with Suddenlink and I get way more HD and Sunday Ticket. After the first year when not in season I'll probably also drop to a lower tier. I appreciate that I don't need the highest tier to watch some of these sports channels because when I was with Comcast it felt like you ALWAYS had to get the highest tier for something like the SEC or BTN.
Gotta be the big blue nation guy.
what else is there to talk about? It's early August.
Let's not pretend you were genuinely asking.
Big blue nation is the best one, obviously.
Sure I was. I read an article, posted it and asked a question for anyone to answer.
ironic that the very argument that aggie is using is the same they were arguing against not too long ago
Like what? Not sure what you are talking about tbh. The SEC getting their own network has been in the works for years now and it was one of the many things A&M considered when debating the move East. They knew two years ago that this day would come and knew how much they would be potentially making off of it once it did launch.
Dip s like Blake have had trouble wrapping their head around it. I know he went to tech and all but he doesn't get a pass. When A&M said they would be making x amount more in the SEC than compared to the Big12 this is what they were anticipating. This mixed with the soon to be television re-negotiations. A&M looked down the road and it's about to start paying off big in regards to $.

I won't ever think the move to the SEC wasn't a silly butthurt, knee jerk response to the longhorn network.
To say the move was simply a financial one is bull . You know it but for whatever reason won't admit it.
Our direct compe ion had just signed for $300mm for their TV rights. If we don't make the SEC move, we are trying to fail. The SEC move made sense in every way possible and has been even better than anyone could have imagined.
Chick-Fil-A bowl and the Cotton Bowl for all their troubles. Yeah that turned out great. And no it wasn't just a financial move.
Has anyone run the numbers on the proposed UT/A&M network? I know that was really preliminary and dismissed almost out of hand, but as obsessed as the two fanbases are someone had to have come up with an estimate.
Recruiting has certainly been boosted as well.
Yep. That's it and that's all.
