It really does take some getting used to in order to watch football again. The pace is terrible compared to basketball. It didn't help that the Ravens game had the worst broadcast I've ever seen. I hope it'll be easier to stay in the moment once the games matter.
Warner loved Tyrod Taylor for some reason. I think Taylor has progressed from the last couple of years, but it's not like his flaws weren't on full display. Yeah, Taylor was better than Gabbert, but he still gives me no confidence.
I really like the Ravens' d-line depth, but that's always been a really deep position for the team. I wish some of that depth was in the secondary, because Chykie Brown was awful, and he's been taking a lot of starter's reps with Webb injured. I like Jacobs as a prospect, but the team needs to look at getting a starting-quality CB, as Webb gets hurt too much to rely on.

I think once we get out of preseason, and the real games begin it will be easier to get into it. The first preseason game is always the most difficult to get into when the starters don't play or get one possession. Then the rest of the time it's guys who have slim to no chance of making the team playing the rest of the game.
I watch preseason games to see guys like the Chargers Brandon Oliver out of Buffalo who wasn't even drafted. As we all can see the kid has a burst. I wanna see Terrance West at Cleveland? More three receiver sets with the Niners, ok let's see it.

That is what these games are all about. Let's see what kind of depth these teams have, it is a long season.

I'm usually one of those guys who loves the first preseason game because I've obsessedly read about the new additions or possible positional battles for months. I guess football season really snuck up on me this year with the Spurs winning the le. I was interested in the players and coaching and all that, but I couldn't stand the downtime. Like, I wasn't even impatient about wanting the action to continue. I was just bored with the whole thing.
Kurt Warner and whoever his play-by-play guy is should never do another game. That was just horrible to watch. They make listen to Qadry Ismail seem bearable, and I never thought that could happen.
Keep an eye on this Isaih Burse kid with Denver, he's out of Fresno State. In a word....quick!

yeah, i saw him a bunch when i went back to see Carr's games during draft season. he did most of his damage on short routes, but has good hands
I first saw him play in HS***, he's out of Modesto, He was all over the place, QB, kick returner, cornerback, wide receiver, running back....wow! He was amazing.
I was really surprised he went undrafted, actually shocked. The guy can play.
He's what you alluded to, a better underneath guy.
